Hi I was wondering if anyone could recommend a reasonable place to get pumpkins. Looking for a pumkin farm type place but not a place with rides and such. Just a place with a bunch of pumpkins and maybe some apple cider. (Virginia area preferred. i live in springfield)
thanks

What can I do next?

Hi there and happy fall! I found an awesome website yesterday that lists all the patches in Northern Virginia and what they offer and links to their sites. So when i saw your question, I had to respond. Here is it is!!

I went to Stribling Orchard two weekends ago and did the pick your own apples, which was alot of fun for our family. We plan to hit up either Cox Farms or Pumpkinville in the next week.

Good luck.:) R.

Burke Nursery and Garden Center is fantastic and right around the corner!!! 9401 Burke Road. It's not a farm but they make you feel like it is. They have tons of pumpkins and yummy CIDER!!

Well, my family has really enjoyed Burke Nursery a LOT - especially the hay slides and stuff for the kids to climb on.

But for something cost minimal, the garden stand on the corner of Braddock Rd and Rt 123 has great pumpkins and flowers for sale. I think it's called Patriot Garden Center. They also have a hay mountain, moon bounce and low slide for kids in the fall. I've gotten flowers and pumpkins there in the past - great place for a photo op with the kids in the pumpkins too!

Have fun!
