I know I'm a little late but I was hoping someone could let me know of any festivals or pumpkin patches in the Columbus area? Specifically one that my girls could pick their own pumpkins?

What can I do next?

Hi G.,

there are lots of places to go! One of our favorites is Pigeon Roost Farm. It's on East Main Street just past Kirkersville and Pataskala. Along with pumpkins, they have animals, a hay ride, a corn maze, and a huge kids play area. The web site is www.pigeonroostfarm.com .

We go annually to Jaquemin Farm. It is a family owned farm in Plain city, really close to Dublin. They have a huge pumpkin field to pick your own, along with a small farmers market. They have a hay maze, inflatables, and a corn filled sand box for the little tikes. It is a great place to experience Fall. If you Google it, you can get specific directions.

Lynd Fruit Farm in Pataskala is GREAT! Along with U-Pick Apples and the U-Pick Pumpkin patch, they have a concession stand, wagon rides, free apple cider, wooden cut-outs for great pictures, hay bale maze for kids and usually a cornfield maze. (Poor growing conditions this year prevented the cornfield maze-boo hoo!) Hubby and I made a tradition of going before we had children and had a wonderful time. Now that we do have little ones (1 and 3) we have taken them every year and it's been even more fun. Go to www.lyndfruitfarm.com for prices and schedules. Have fun with your little pumpkins, G.!

We just took out 2 year old saturday to Kulwein's on walker road in Hilliard. For only $6/person (under 3 is free!) you get a hayride, small corn maze (that our toddler loved by the way, not scary and not hard) and everyone including the free ones get to pick a pumpkin at the end. They have pony rides for $3, again our son LOVED that. They also have a few baby cows the kids can pet and a snack bar inside that has the best hot apple cider. We plan on going back next year with our son and new baby!
