Dr. Strange is a wonderful Pediatrician in Indian Trail. She has children of her own and knows the struggles that we face. I am not sure of her ideals about breastfeeding a 3-year old. You would have to ask her about that but she is just a great doctor and I know that you would love her. She is with The Center for Child and Adolescent. Welcome to Union County!
I know Matthews Family Physicians, in the hospital, has some great Pediatricians in their offices; but I am not sure if they support breastfeeding at age 3. In my experience most believe you should stop before they are 2. Not sure if I can be of much help in this situation. Goodluck!
I'd maybe ask your local LLL leader who they recommend and I'd branch out into Matthews and Monroe to open your choices of a ped as well.
Welcome to the area. We live in Indian Trail. I take my kids to Matthews Children's Clinic. They are across from Presby Matthews on 51. ###-###-####. We see Dr. Young. I breastfeed mine until 2 and she was fine with it as long as they were eating other food and sleeping on there own. We never really talked about it much because I felt like that was my decision. The Lac. Consultant there thought it was wonderful. She is great and her name is Lena. Well good luck and welcome. If I can help with anything else let me know.
