We use Matthews children's clinic on Highway 51 across from Presbyterian hospital. Check with your insurance carrier also for good pediatricians. We (9 yr old and 6 month old sons) go to Dr Blanton. He listens and takes time with each child.
THINGS to do in Indian Trail: Stallings park on Stallings road near Monroe road. Great area for toddlers and big kids, also a tennis court and walking track.
Monkey Joe's in Matthews, jump castles and other blow up play sets. Kinda hard to find, behind the office depot in the winsor square shopping center on 74.
Union West Library,Coming from highway 74 go to first traffic light turn left it is on the left. Story times for all ages and nice preschool play area, puppet show theater. Hope this helps.

We live in Mint hill but use Charlotte Pediatrics. They have an office in Matthews off Sam Newel Road-- not sure how close that is for you. We liked Dr. Cleveland there and Dr. Courtney Ellis.

Adding another vote for Dr. Cleveland. He really is wonderful and has been great with my girls (4 and 6). He's expecting his 6th little one any day now. :)

Hi, Our pediatrician is in the new Matthews office of Charlotte Pediatric Clinic. It is Dr. Jeff Cleveland. He's been our doctor for almost 12 years. I have 4 kids and he has been awesome. The number there is ###-###-####. He is great with the kids and does not rush and answers all of my questions. He is extremely knowledgeable. He sometimes has med students with him that are there observing him but it has never been a problem.

I love Charlotte Pediatric Clinic in Matthews. My son has been a patient of Jeffrey Cleveland for 10 years, my daughter for 2 years. He is amazing with kids. We also use Courtney Ellis. She is a P.A. I highly recommend both of them.

Hi L.! For what it's worth--we go to Linderman Pediatrics in Matthews. They have recently moved into a new building close to Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews. There are four doctors in the practice. Dr. Linderman (male), Dr. Goins (male), Dr. Willard (female) and Dr. Hala (female). I have seen all four at different times and have been very pleased. This office came highly recommended to me before I was even pregnant with my first child. The doctor that was so highly recommended has actually left the practice because her husband's job sent them out of the country and they decided to move the whole family for the experience. I was so sorry to see her go--she was wonderful. Dr. Goins is our primary doctor and I have been very satisfied with him. He remembers so much about the kids even though we are at the point of only having to go in once a year for check-ups. The kids are comfortable with him also. He has called me at home when needed and was great when my daughter was born premature and we were there daily for the first few weeks. Dr. Linderman is usually who I see if we have to go in on an emergency basis. I was told that he can be kind of blunt and may not be a good fit for everyone, but I haven't had that problem. We have never had a problem getting an appointment and always have very minimal wait time when we are there for an appointment.
Some may recommend Matthew's Childrens Clinic which is also near the hospital in matthews. From friends who go there--they never see the same doctor, have a hard time getting an appointment, have to wait a long time. Maybe they have improved since then, but just wanted to let you know.
Welcome to town! Best of luck with your decision, I know it's got to be difficult moving and trying to find doctor's.

I would recommend Dr. Goss.......She is at Matthews Children's Clinic. It is in Matthews, but not to far away as I live in Union County also and see her. SHE IS FABULOUS!!! Kind, thoughtful and VERY thorough....I wish you the best. I have 3 as well. I am a former pediatric RN also. Best of luck!
