you could check the website for locations. I also wanted to mention that Pantene Hair Products offers a similar program where the hair only has to be 8". The website is beautifullengths.com. Just wanted to let you know of another option.
Hey Ladies,
I'm looking for a salon that participates in free locks of love haircuts in the Naperville/Aurora area. I've been growing my hair out since I found out I was pregnant. The little one is now 18 months old, and I'm ready to cut! Of course I would provide a generous tip, but would really appreciate the free haircut. I know that a couple of kid's haircut places do the cuts for free, but I would really like to find someone that I would want to continue to go back to after the initial cut. Thanks for any suggestions!
Thanks for all of the suggestions so far. Here's a little more info. This will be the second time that I have donated. The first time I was unaware that some salons cut for free, so that's why I was checking this time before I cut. The information used to be on the locks of love website, but unfortunately isn't available anymore. I heard something about it was just too much information for the organization to have to keep up with...which makes total sense. I've got about 15 inches to cut last time I checked, so I'm really excited! Keep the info coming and I'll let everyone know when I get it cut!! Thanks!

I thought Great Clips did it, but I didn't think you got a free haircut. I would just call around and check.

Great Clips (the salon nearest to my house is at 95th and Book road in Naperville) will give you a free haircut and process your 10 inches of hair or longer donation to Locks of Love and you will eventually get a really wonderful card from the Locks of Love people.
I am working on growing out my hair again. I heard that Locks of Love will combine the hair from four donations to make into a hairpiece for someone who needs it. If your hair is gray, they will still receive it as donation.
Great clips on 34 in oswego used to do it. It is just a basic haircut. but i know they did it in august for one of my sons girlfriends. good luck and god bless for doing it. I had to have a wig when going thru chemo and the real hair ones are so much nicer than the fake.
Boozle B's does it on Rt. 59 in Plainfield. Good Luck! Maria
Kids Snips in Wheaton Town Square will do it for free on certain days. (Yes, they do adult hair, too!) Call ahead to find out which days they offer the free cuts.
I'm not sure of a salon that does free haircuts, but I wanted to let you know I'm also growing my hair for locks of love and I thought I had it long enough, but your need at least 10 inches and I'm at 9 inches so I just wanted to let you know that since I thought it was only 6 inches that you needed.

Every salon will do it. It might not include a free. You need to check out the Locks of Love web site on how to donate. There are restrictions involved. They give the details. I went to my normal hairdresser. She poytailled it and cut it, I then sent it in.
