I am looking for a good preschool to enroll my 4 year old daughter "Faith" into. She has been going to day care at my parents house since she was born and has not had much interaction with other kids. I really want to find a good place to take her that I can trust will do a good job. Any suggestions.

What can I do next?

We recently moved from that area and I am so sad that my daughter has to miss out on the excellent preschool of little angles catholic preschool in prior lake. We moved into another school district and the district preschool is a very sad comparison. Do yourself a favor and sign up as fast as you can because it fills up quickly. FYI we are not catholic and they were welcoming and we never felt out of place.

FYI - There is a new childcare opening in Shakopee called Hand N Hand Learning Academy for ages 6 weeks to 5th grade. They have a Harvard curriculum called Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory. Focuses on different areas of learning. My son is going there this fall and they have a brand new building, very impressed!!

School District 191 has Tiny Tots Preschool and has a location in Burnsville and Savage. My daughter went there two years. The first year we went at nights way cool because I was working, my daughter went from 5pm-7:30pm and the second year she went mornings. They have 3,4,5 yr old program, 3,4 yr.old program, 4/5yr.old program and the year before kindergarten program. I know it fills up fast you should be registerd early summer for the coming fall but they do have openings even in late August it just might not be the exact class or time you want. They also have scholarships available if needed and differnt options of one, two or three day programs. I know if your child isn't 3 around september but is before January you can have them do the spring preschool too.

I've also seen alot of families around this area use this church's preschool seems to really popular I belive it's St.John the Baptist Catholic Church's preschool in Savage.

My daughter is heading off to kindergarten in two weeks. She won't even be 5 for another week so were really close to the cutoff and I can tell you the main reason she is ready for kindergarten isn't because of what she knows it's because of the socializing and compassion she picked up going to preschool. Last year at fall confrences her teacher said there was no way she was ready for K. Immature, didn't share, had no compassion for others. By spring confrences her teacher actually told me to send her to kindergarten she overcame alot and was fully ready. She learned how to behave in a classroom and seperate from mommy.

I'm a huge supporter of the ECFE program in Shakopee. The girls (teachers) there are so wonderful. We recently moved from Shakopee down to New Market where my boys are now involved in the New Prague program. GOOD LUCK! Regards, L.

My son (who is now 7) went to Stepping Stones Preschool in Savage (at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church) for 2 years and it was wonderful. He had Mrs. Yetzer, Mrs. Lahl and Mrs May...all three are fabulous!!!!!!!!!!
