I am not trying to knock anyone or anything I just feel like I should explain why I am looking for a GOOD doctor in the area. My 9 y/o son complained of headaches/ migraines for over 6 months and Ped. Partners of Winter Haven just blew it off even after I requested some kind of brain scan. Well, because of that my son spent all summer in the hospital with a brain abcess and sinusitus. I have had a hard time finding a doctor that I like and TRUST for my children and I am in real bad need of some help. Any recommendations would be wonderful.

What can I do next?

Hi,
My boys go to Dr. Alvarez at the Clark and Daughtery office in Winter Haven. The office is clean and nice and the wait is short. My boys really like the doctor and enjoying going. He is funny and friendly. As a nurse, I am picky and I think he is thorough and takes time to listen and communicates well. Their # is ###-###-#### and they are at 430 E. Central Ave.
Good luck.

dr. pilapil at the gessler clinic children's division. he is the best. very thorough. always sent my daughter right away for tests and scans. if i was worried, he took it seriously. he's one of those doctor's that understand YOU know your child better than him. if something is different and doesn't feel right to you, it's worth looking into. and the staff and nurses are very friendly and helpful. ###-###-####

I just went see Dr. Snow thanks to the comment that Amanda wrote for you... and he is amazing. I went there for one reason and he check my daughter for everything. Usually doctor's ask you about the reason you there for and that's it. He saw some white spots on her (reason why I changed doctor's,long story..I told him that they told me to look for a dermatologist..he said not to do that) and he told me right way what they were and what to do . Then he check her stitches(follow up) and then her medical records. Also he gave me a follow up call to give more information about something that it was done with her other doctor(really good information that I didn't know) and sent it to our house.
Good luck!

Hi S.,

I take my son to DR Snow out of Lakeside Pediatrics in Lakeland. There is approx. four or five doctors that within that office and they are all very good doctors. My son has seen all of them, but I'm partial to DR Snow. My son was in the hospital earlier this year with the gastro-roto virus, and even though DR Snow was not on call at them time my son was seen, (so he was the one who admitted him to LRMC), he still came by, checked on him, and contacted me personally to go over any cares or concerns I may have....on top of what the admitting doctor was doing. Their office is both in north (Lakeland Hills Blvd) and south (S. Florida Ave) lakeland, and even though I live in Winter Haven, I still take my son there. Best of Luck!
