Ok we use Saxon math and we use a variety of things for phonics. Right now we are just reading Bob books. I need a kinder curic. Any ideas.. Something with maybe some themes in it. Im afraid of missing things to teach him like dinosaurs or other things they teach in kinder that I will forget about.
I use a workbook from Walmart. It covers the basics. Then we go to the library & he picks out any 3 books he wants. My son is so far ahead of kids his age sometimes it's scary!! Right now it isn't so much the subject that you teach as the love of learning that you instill. Make learning "fun" then they will be eager to do it.

You might find some good suggestions in the book, "The Well Trained Mind." You can also google that title and get on their website. It's a great resource for homeschoolers.
You may want to try a program called Animal Worlds by Winter Promise. It comes with books to read as well as suggested activities. The web address is http://www.winterpromise.com
However, don't feel pressured to purchase a curriculumin order to keep up with public school kindergarten. In our house we focus on math and reading, and learn everything else by reading library books, going on field trips, etc. My child knows just as much, if not more, than his friends.

I have heard Five in a Row is a good program for the younger age. You can also pick a theme (like dinosaurs) and head to the library to check out books on dinosaurs.
Also, don't worry about covering 100% of everything. No school does that. Most things learned are covered over and over throughout the years. I feel it is more critical to foster a love for learning in the early years than to cram and make sure everything is being covered.
There is a great homeschool bookstore in Watauga. Creative Arts in Action on Watauga Rd. They have a lot of curriculum and even some used stuff.
Also check out my website, www.ignitethefire.com. The website has a lot of excerpts from my book. Tons of people have told me how helpful it is. It's not going to be a kinder curriculum, but might fuel a fire for you. BTW, I have 8 children who have all been homeschooled. It's a great way of life!

What kind of curriculum are you looking for? there are so many out there. Do you want a religious based curriculum or secular? I personaly use a mix of ABEKA, ROD & STAFF, and sonlight. I think Sonlight has the broadest base and really helps you put it all together, they also set it up so that you can teach multiple grades at the same time, that is very helpful for us!!
