I'm looking for a doorway jumper. My daugher wants to be held ALL the time, I can't get anything done cause I ALWAYS have to hold her. What can I do to get her off that? Please help!! I have tried a swing, that only works for a few minutes, I tried a high chair, a playpen. any sugestions would be great!!

What can I do next?

Try Kids Junction in the Castke Hills area...they sell used items that are clean. Often you can find things like that for almost half the price, or maybe ebay too. Also, a swing there are some that have a basnet option, to lull baby. Ryan had colic and it was not fun the first year lol Good Luck

I think all kids go through a phase like this and I think the best thing to do is buy a sling and just do it till it passes because it will. Good Luck!

I would recommend a jumperoo. My daoughter was the same way, but once i invested in a jumperoo, she would stay in their for up to an hour. It has music & lights & toys all around & every time she jumped she'd activate the lights & sounds. She would keep herself entertained & gave me time to do things around the house. It was so great that I got one for my house, I bought one for my babysitter & mom bought one for whenever my daughter went to visit Grandma. I also think it's much safer than a door jumper, may be a bit more pricy, but definetly worth the cost. I found it cheapest at Wal-Mart!

Have you tried an exersaucer? Mine was a lifesaver when my daughters were that young. They are a little expensive, but you could find one on craigs list probably. There are tons of toys on the one I have so they always have something to playwith or chew on. My daughters are 11 months old and they still play in it. Hope this helps,
M.

It's not a doorway jumper, but when my son was a baby he was the same way. We got him a baby papasan chair. He LOVED it. We could put him in it and he would IMMEDIATELY stop crying. We even put it in his crib and let him sleep in it. It vibrates and also has music. Definately worth the money!

I agree my 5 month old loves his excersaucer. I do still hold him quite a bit, but the excersaucer helps. I also have a reclining highchair and put him in that when I am working in the kitchen. Then I give him a toy and talk to him as I work. He is very social & usually does alright so I can get a little bit done. My older boys sometimes help entertain by giving the baby fresh toys whenever he has dropped them. I put the baby's toys in a seperate basket & the older boys know those are the only things they are allowed to give baby.
