My son's 2nd birthday party will be on Dec11. I am scheduled to be induced on Nov 30th(YAY)! I am trying to get everything ready before the 2 BIG events coming up. Are there any small things that I need to remember for either? I am one busy mama at the moment so please don't leave anything out! I want to make sure things are covered! Thanks you all!

What can I do next?

This is a special time like none other, just enjoy your babies. There will be time for birthday parties later. Your 2 year old isn't going to even know it's his birthday except for what you tell him and even then he's too young to understand. Maybe just have a cake and gift, keep it super simple and just enjoy the warmth of being together. Sending the very best for a calm and beautiful birth. Blessings on All

oh honey, don't put so much pressure on yourself. we haven't done "big parties" except for the first and fifth birthday. i would say that having a baby kind of exempts you. also, my brother got married the weekend of my son's 4th birthday, we just told him his birthday was the next weekend. i know your 2 year old will not care...

i am a minimalist though, so to me, simpler is always better. there is also something to be said for having a bit lower expectations :) you, of yourself, and your 2 year old, of his birthdays.

but if you are determined, i just want to say good luck - and congrats! maybe your mom or other female relative, or close friend, can help you out with the party??

I personally would have the party be a combo birthday celebration/meet and greet the new baby with close family only. No need to over-tax yourself because you're going to be exhausted and your son, being 2, isn't going to feel bad if you have a small affair, anyway. And congratulations!

Keep the party low key, and delegate help. Make freezer meals for when baby comes. Good luck!
