OMG I'm ready to die. My ligament pain is so bad I can barely walk or do any daily activities. I went to labor and delivery monday night because I had no idea what was happening to me and they told me that it was just really pain ligament stretching pain. To just take tylenol every 6 hrs and try to relax. Ya easy for them to say when they dont have a child to run around after and work to do. I am due to deliver in a month. anyone sympathize??

What can I do next?

With my 1st I had the awesomest pregnancy. No pains, well at least till the labor part.
With my 2nd I noticed more of the ligament stretching and hip joint pains as he grew into the 9lb 7 oz infant I delivered. But it seemed like he was trying to climb out of my throat.
With my 3rd I didn't notice the pains and stretching. Probibly because my legs itched. But lotion slathered on like it was butter helped wonders with that. Maybe thats why he was over 10 lbs...

It is normal and each pregnancy feels a bit different. Just remember that each delivery also gets easier since your body knows what to do now and as a mom of 10 told me " the door has been opened"

Try to rest... Great time to read lots of stories to your older munchkin and let things go a bit in the house. Let hubby know that he may have to pick up the slack when possible...
Your time to get that baby out is coming fast then after a while you'll reminise about those feelings of discomfort and think about how you miss them. :-) Ok, maybe not...

Good luck resting and hope you have a wonderful delivery...

I wanted to add, Try geting in a tub when it hurts. It won't stop the stretching, but will relax your muscles, take the weight off of your hips, legs, and pelvic muscles and give you a bit of time to just rest. I think I lived in the tub with #2. As soon as hubby would get home, in I'd go. :-) Heck, I even spent most of my deliveries in the tub and recommend it highly! (#2 and #3 were all natural, no drug deliveries)

I had terrible pain when pregnant with my twins -- both ligament stretching and sciatica -- and used a support belt as well. It really helped me. The one I used was the Mini Cradle by Prenatal Cradle. (http://www.prenatalcradle.com/minicradle.) They were very responsive when I emailed them to find a local dealer so I didn't have to order online. It's also a Michigan-based company, which is nice. Best of luck to you!

yes I had the pain it was more transient than consistent. I never took anything for it.. I just had to get out of bed slowly and carefully or I would get a sharp pain.

Pregnancy has lots of pains.. round ligament pains.. sciatic nerve pain.. leg cramps.. the weird one for me was shooting vaginal pains.. I asked the dr and he said it was the baby pressing on a nerve..

That was really hurt -- sharp and sudden.

hang in there it is almost over..

I can sympathize. I had horrible pain right under my rib cage, felt like my ribs were being torn from the ligaments. I could not sleep at all because it was unbearable everytime I laid down. Just remember, it does end eventually. Tylenol is all I could do.

I only had this problem with my second child and that was almost 7 years ago. At that time they sold belts that you could wear under your belly to help support the weight. I got the one I had at Motherhood. It did help some. Good luck and may the month you have left pass fast!

i remember having ligament pain down my sides and right in front under my belly button! omg! but i never took anything, the best thing to do is to just lay on your side it's your heavy belly pulling down that hurts. explain to your child that mommy's big belly is hurting cuz baby is getting bigger kids get it i was pregnant on strict bed rest with a 2 1/2 yr old while my husband worked 50 hrs. I feel ur frustration.hang in there good luck.
