Contact a realtor. If it's like the timeshare we own in Florida, you can have an actual real estate agent sell it for you.
We have a timeshare in Las Vegas that we desperately want to sell. It's fully paid off, but the maintenance fees/membeship fees are not worth it since we don't use it and can't plan far enough ahead to trade weeks in other locations it seems. I don't want to pay some scam artist to "market it/sell it". does anyone know from personal experience of a legitimate way to get rid of it or, in the best case, sell it?
Thank you!

Contact the place directly. My in-laws own 2 weeks in FL, and the place calls every year to see if they want to buy or sell.
You can try selling it yourself on eBay. Or you can donate it to charity and get a tax write-off.
There is a Timeshare Users Group that has some good advice. Here is a post with advice on how to sell your timeshare without getting scammed: http://tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44

Good luck.
Usually the company that you are in timeshare with can offer to help sell it. There's also so websites that has realtors that sell timeshare or maybe call your local realtor and ask them.
Have you considered trying to sell it back to the company that sold it to you? Some companies have a registry of "resales" that they also market.
