I would bring a light long sleeve outfit. I had my son during a heat wave in October (It was 75 degrees) and he needed the long sleeve because everything, even our car, had the air conditioning on and newborns always seem cold. Not to mention, our nurses would have FREAKED out if we didn't have him covered up! :)

Don't only think out the temp outside, think about theC in your car. If you will have this on I suggest a light longsleeve pants outfit. Simple lightweight cotto will keep the little one covered up enough while you will also have a blanket if the air conditiong is making him cold. The car ride home is thefirst time baby will ever see cold in his life,ya know.

I would put the baby in a short sleeve top and pants. You can always add a blanket, and it is easier to take off than having to undress or remove clothing. Plus, if it is that hot, you can put the baby in a really cute short set and just add a blanket, or what the heck, just a onsie! Remember that if you are hot, then the baby is probably hot. And vice versa.
When my oldest was bor, we put a long sleeve sleeper on him(he was born in Feb), he got spit up all over it and all I had with us was some ugly outfit someone gave us in the hospital. Needless to say, it was not weather appropriate. But we made it home fine. Trust yourself, you will know what to do. Good Luck and hope this helps and sorry if it doesn't!
Congrats!

Congratulations! My aughter was born June 21st of last year. I took a short sleeve dress and blankes for her to come home in. It was hot out. She was perfectly comfortable with the short sleeves on. As long as you have a blanket with you the baby will be fine. eventhough you have AC in the car I am sure that you will find yourself not having it so high with the baby in the car. I know I did. Good Luck!!

I would bring a short sleeve and blanket.

My first son was born January 1 1985. He was an emergancy C Section, he was breach butt first. I was in the Hospital for a few days. When Hubby came and picked us up, it was darn close to zero degrees. We bunddled him up real good, but I think he ended up with a terrible cold within a few days. Very scary for a new mom and Dad!!!

I think long sleeve as it will still be cold for her initially
since she did just get out of the womb LOL

But lite, cotton and pants not shorts

then cover with a heavier receiving blanket and TOP with a nice thick blanket ( you don't have to use it but remember the AC in the Hospital , and the car.
An more then likely the house.

Good thing is you probably won't need a HAT or Jacket. LOL

Congrats MOMMA
