Hi K. -

On this board, there have been several discussions about this daycare - NOT recommended - I think last week there was a repost of the horrifying experience one mother went through. There are many options out there, I suggest you keep looking, as this one is trouble.

Look for the previous posts - it will explain a lot.

Good luck.

Hi K.,
I'm sure by now you have gotten an ear full about this child car center. But as I was reseaching a new day care i'm considering for my children, I decided to see if in fact the Kids r Kids center had any reports or violations. If you go to this website (provided by another mamma source mom) you can see for yourself that kinds of issues this place has had.

Take care,

Hi K.,
I was the one who posted information about this place. I would suggest you take your name off the list. Horrib things happened to my son there and the place is sooo dirty. I WOULD suggest to you another daycare that I am now taking my two boys. It is called Preston Kiddie Kollege. It is on Legendary Dr across from the Stonebridge church. They are fantastic with my kids. I feel comfortable every day dropping them off. I have an infant son and a 2 year old. Check it out, I garantee you will love it!

Subject: Bad Experience at Kids R Kids in Preston Vineyard

Message: I have sent this out before but I have been asked to resend.
I have two boys, a 2 1/2 year old and a 5 month old who both went to Kids R Kids. I sent them there on the referrals of neighbors who sent their children there. Within one months time, these were my experiences.
My 2 year old had fallen off a Lego table and got a huge lump on his head. They laughed about the fact that LEGO was stamped on his forehead and when I asked the teacher about the incident...she told me she told him to get down. I had to remind her that he is 2, they get up, and you have to take him down. He was bitten and I was never called about it. And, on my last day there (I gave my 2 weeks notice after 2 weeks because my son was miserable) my son was carrying around a sippy cup when I picked him up. I recognized it as ours and I hadn't seen it for weeks. I put him in his car seat and smelled something putrid. I opened his cup and it was the milk I sent him to daycare with weeks prior. I know he must have tasted it. It was PASSED curdled if you can imagine. I called the daycares Director 4 times and didnt get a call back until weeks later. Also, every day picked him up, he was usually crying at the door. One time I saw one of the ladies grab him by the upper arm to pull him away from the door instead of consoling him. It broke my heart. He always came home with dried mucus on his face and the warm room always smelled of dirty diapers. (Sorry for being graphic)
Just as a side noteMy girlfriends daughter had an all over body rash. When she brought her daughter to the Dr., he specifically asked if she went to the Kids R Kids on Preston Vineyard because many parents were coming in with the same symptoms. Take this any way you want to.
I called the Child Protective Services of Texas to report the incident with the sippy cup. An investigation was made but nothing was proved.
As a concerned parent, I advise you not to bring your child here. I do not want another child or parent experiencing what we went through.
FYI, we are in a fantastic place now. My kids are very happy.

A couple of days ago a lady sent a negative feedback about that day care. I was not sure how to forward, so I copied the email an attached it.

Good Luck,

You may wish to reconsider. There have been several bad experiences with this particular facility posted by moms on this site (I am sure you will receive their responses) and my friend in the Houston area had a bad experience with her local Kids R Kids, as well. If you are looking for a good alternative with a superb reputation, you may want to look into Primrose Schools. Visit www.primroseschools.com for a location nearest you. Sorry for the "downer". Good luck to you and your family!

The word on the street is that this is NOT the place for your baby. There have been quite a few mom's with complaints on this center. One mom was irate because her son was drinking from a sippy cup with 2 week old milk in it. My advice is to keep looking. For the record, my 2 year old goes to Childtime Learning Centers in Plano and we adore it!

I'm not 100% sure, but there was a women on the site last week that couldn't tell people to get out of there fast enough. If she sees this request I'm sure she will email you. I will look and see if I still have the statements she made. I know she called cps on them. If you want to email me back and give me your email address I will be glad to share the info with you!!! I hope all goes well!!!

K.,
I currently use this daycare. My son is going to be 7 months old next week. I started him there in January, and have been there ever since. My friend has her 2 year old there, and she recommended it. A friend told me about this website last week, so I thought I would check out the ratings on Kids R Kids. The only postings are from L in Frisco, who reported a really tough time for 1 month, and took her kids out. Now I haven't had any problems, and anything minute I have encountered, has always been attended to. The one thing I hate is that the internet cameras are not too clear. My son is transitioning into the next infant room which is for 6-12 months. There seems to be some turnover with the helpers, not the teachers. The infant staff so far are great. Please feel free to ask me anything further.
