Any one have a place their kids love to eat at. For my son's birthday we do a day of fun instead of presents. I'm looking for new restaurant to go to.. Something a bit different than Chuck e Cheese or a pizza place ( on of our guest can't eat pizza)
We've done T Rex and while my son loves it it's okay food for a pretty high price. He also likes Red Robin.

My daytime daycare kids LOVE the Country Buffet up on Barry Road in the shopping center with Toys R Us and Children's Mercy. There is so much food and it's really not too expensive at all. You could follow it up with hanging out in Toys R Us and just let him dream shop. Or, you could follow it up with bowling :)
Go to Crown Center and eat at the Crayola Cafe. Very kid friendly and good adult food too. They also have a birthday room for private parties. Lots to do at Crown Center after your meal.
The Blue Moose in Prairie Village gives the kids colors plus an animal mask. A wide variety of adult food too.
My friends love taking their kids to Beach Bums, although I have never been there. I think it's in Overland Park. Dave and Buster's is also fun, but we don't usually eat there. I think there are deals if you eat and stay to play.
Try T-Rex at the Legends.
You could try Fritz's. It's cheap and the kids love
that you order on the phone then the food comes
to the table by train. I think there are several
locations. We go to Crown Center. You could
also try the diner in Union Station then do Science City or
walk the Link from Union Station over to Crown Center.
