I am beginning a juice fast in the morning. I have never done this before. I am pretty excited how I will feel after doing it a little while. My dr. said that it may actually help with my fibro and RA, which is worth it. I hate feeling so blah all of the time. Have you ever done this? What was your favorite mixture? I have consulted with my dr. and she said this was fine.

What can I do next?

What kind of juicer do you have? Have you seen the the documentary fat sick and nearly dead....it is great about juicing. Go to that website and you can get tons of information.

I am not a big veggie eater....so I put any greens I can find....kale, spinach, celery, cucumber....etc and 2 green apples....maybe a pear....and it is so yummy! Which is weird for me since my breakfast a few years ago was a can of coke.

While I have not fasted with it....it does make a difference. There are so many recipes......even apps for your phone.

in addition to what was already mentioned, try boiling some beets and then blending them in. OMG, so good!! Beets are incredibly good for you too!

hi S., I have the Nutribullet and I make a couple different juices. One of which is frozen organic berries (Costco now has an assortment package) and compared to Trdr Joe's and Whole Foods, it's a much better deal..
Anyway, I blend a splash of filtered water, frozen berries, orange slices, squeeze lemon/lime, flax seeds , baby spinach (or other greens) and if in the mood, may add some green powder... As you probably know, GREEN stuff is suppose to be good for Fibro..

I also like pineapple and orange.. again, add some water.. and again, something green..

good luck

I did a juice fast a few years ago and truthfully, it did nothing for me. I didn't have any great burst of energy, I didn't feel internally lighter, my skin didn't shine... none of the claims. I was just hungry and irritable because I was not eating!

That said, I do juice sometimes now using my amazing blender (still gets the fiber - not like a regular juicer). And I love it. My fave right now is pineapple, beets, lime, and kale.

The juice fast is going to make you feel worse. You'll be spending days being malnourished and taking in an insane amount of sugar. Once you stop, you're going to have serious blood sugar crashing, shakes/sweats and probably binge-inducing hunger. You think you feel Blah now, it will be 10x worse after as your body tries to recover from the damage.
