I shower in the evenings after the baby is down and things are cleaned up. I would love to shower in the morning but that rarely happens. I do shower every day although there has been a time or two when I realized I hadn't showered in a few days. I know that sounds a little gross but as a new mom and all the busyness, it happens.
Yes my son is 20mo. I meant when the baby was first born I went a few days like2. Believe me I was disgusted. I was just exhausted! I will be having my second in December.

Carseats and highchairs work WONDERS for getting a shower in *when you want it* with a new baby or a toddler. Just bring them in the bathroom with you.
My son's 9. I shower now, no problemo. Personally I shower every morning and then after any kind of strenuous activity/sport/exercise, or "oops". Sometimes this means I'm only showering once a day, sometimes 3 or 4.

I shower after dinner, and I usually shower every other day, although some days I just wash my hair, because I work in an office and don't get gross. If I shower every day my hair gets icky, it's always better the second day.

eewww a few days?? Just joking I have been there. How old is baby? can you take a quick shower while baby plays in crib for a few mins or if baby is old enough to be in an excersauser bring it in the bathroom with you and take a quick one. I did that often when I really needed to shower. Just not the long relaxing shower you would like but atleast you will be clean.

Hello, my name is Ephie, and I am the stinky kid of mamapedia.
I will FULLY go three days without showering...by choice. And I won't even be grossed out.
When I used to travel/backpack I would go weeks without a proper, hot shower. So this pales in comparison. And besides, I have clean socks and undies on.
MOST days, I do shower. At least a quick underarm/crotch/feet warsh.
But during the summer? Call me smelly, 'cause I might be ;-) Hey, at least I'm conserving water?

Honestly, I'm a SAHM and unless the baby throws up all over me or I'm cleaning all day, I really don't get that dirty. That being said, I shower every other or every third day. On the weekends, when we're busy and going and I'm out and about, then I shower every day. But realistically, my girls are 20months and 8 months old and I hardly ever even have time to go to the bathroom by myself let alone take a shower. Yes, my older child can entertain herself and the baby can go in the bouncer while I shower, but sometimes I just have other things to do! Plus, I have super thick hair that has to be blow dried and/or straightened right after a shower or it turns into an unruly mess. So for me it's not just a shower, it's shower time, hair time, make-up and getting dresses. At the minimum it all takes an hour!!! Trust me, I am not a dirty person! When I was in college and high school and before I became a SAHM, I showered every day--sometimes twice a day!!! Now though, I just don't see any reason to waste the water, dry out my hair, and take time away from the girls!!!

I do not shower every day. I would LOVE to. I work full-time, awake before 7, at work by 9, home by 6, husband works 3 to 11, he's home by 11:15, then we take turns getting the kids to bed and alternate nights for who gets to shower. I run on my lunch breaks and clean up with baby wipes and body spray at work and make sure I shower those nights, but have to wait until bedtime. I refuse to sacrifice any of my pathetic sleep time to get up early and shower. I do not think it is gross if you do not shower daily as long as your body is fine. Some people have a lot more natural odor and need a daily shower, some people do not. Now, if you're wondering how often I shave... :D
Oh, I have 3 boys, ages 5 months, 3 years, and 4 1/2 years.

it is pretty hard when you are a new mom and even when you have more than one running around. I have a 2 1/2 year old and 8 month old twins. My hubby works 2 jobs so he is usually either working or sleeping except on saturday midday and sunday afternoons..yeah that sucks....i try to shower every day but some days it just doesnt happen. I usually either shower after the boys are all sound asleep or sometimes, like today, i can sneak a shower in before hubby leaves for work. but yep, like you everyso often i realize it has been a few days. It's okay, happens to alot of us.

Every morning when I get up. Having three children under three didn't stop me either. I either put them in cribs, or took the newborn into the bathroom in his bouncer. It didn't worry me if they cried. I figured they were safe, and I'd be out in three minutes anyway. I'd like to shower in the evenings, but I just get too knackered and need to fall into bed.

Usually every other day, occasionally I skip 2 days. I don't have a set time, I get one in when I can and that could be in the morning, at naptime, or before bed. I have 4 kids 4 and under so life gets hectic. If I make it to day 3 without a shower, I wear a hat if I'm out of the house. My husband says that I smell better on my worst day than he does on his best day so I think I'm good. Confession #1- sometimes I grab a couple of baby wipes for a quick sponge bath if I feel gross but can't take a shower until later in the day. Confession #2 - I only shave if I am wearing capris (maybe 5-6 times a summer), if I am going swimming (rarely), or if I am going for my yearly exam.

Yikes...I must sound OCD or something, I shower twice a day. I shower at night before I go to bed simply because I can't stand the thought of climbing into bed all griming, and also it just makes it easier for me to bathe my toddler I just take him in with me!
And I just can't seem to wake up without a shower in the am. so unless I have over slept I generally take a shower in the am too!

Every other day. My skin would dry out or I would go broke having to use all of the stuff I would have to use daily to keep it from drying out. I cannot wash my hair everyday, it would become straw. The exceptions are if I got sweaty, worked in the yard (stuff like that) or had sex that day/night.

I currently have 4 teenage boys in my house + 3 lil' ones...so I am lucky to grab one when the water is still hot, mostly late at night....but if I get desperate I have been known to just go for a quick swim instead during the summer .....or if I am just tired of waiting my turn!

I sit in a desk all day in a freezing office, so every other day unless I get all sweaty and dirty for some reason.
This is a huge fight in my home with my husband. He demands my teenagers shower every day (which plays hell with my daughters hair) even tho like me, they are in an air conditioned house that they never leave.

Every morning. I can't do it at night or my hair will be a big mess (curls.) If I don't get a shower, I feel disgusting. If that's the one thing I do for myself during the day, then I'm okay with that. Every morning...but it takes me about three minutes. Shower, shampoo, wash, face, and out. Shaving is a treat I save for a weekend leisure shower (you know, five minutes instead of three!)
Oh, I'll add that after I had my first one, I'd go two or three days sometimes when she was young because I was overwhelmed. But as she grew older and I got used to being clean every day, I just couldn't go back...so with the second baby, I just decided to find the time every morning. Of course, it's a huge help that my six year old entertains the 15 month old during those 3-5 minutes, and that our house has no stairs or other dangers. Situations are all different! :)

When my son was young, every day-ever other day. Now, every day if not twice a day. I like to feel clean, I don't like to feel sticky, greasy and old sweaty. If I shower twice a day, I usually don't wash my hair again unless I grilled or fried fish or such (my hair absorbs smells like crazy!!!)

I shower every morning then give my little one a bath. If there is a lot of activity and we are dirty, which is every day since I finished building her sand box lol, then we both have a shower together at night before her bedtime.
There are days where I'm being lazy and don't, but I can't go to bed feeling grimey either.
Such a great idea Riley. When I have another baby I will have to remember that. I remember showers being too far between (for my preference lol) when my daughter was a baby.

I have allergies, so for me it makes the most sense to shower at night a little before bed to wash away all of the allergens that I've accumulated throughout the day. I take a shower every night, but when I first had my babies I don't remember how often I took a shower because that whole part of my life is a blur to me. :-)

I usually shower before anyone gets up and if one of the kids wakes up early, my husband has to wake up and get em. If I need to sleep in, he watches em for a few minutes while they eat breakfast, and I shower quick. Sometimes it is while they both nap (that is a miracle if it happens) and sometimes it's before bed. I really don't care when, I just like it to happen once a day at least.
