I remember visiting a relative and after a night of laughing, talking and sharing we ended the long night with her taking her shower and me going to bed. The next morning I showered and dressed and she simply dressed! When I asked her about it she told me that her routine is to take showers at night and prep and go in the mornings. Who does this!!!!!!
That was a few years ago when I was not mature enough to understand we all will do things differently. Do you shower at night only?
Ok, apparently I'm the only one in this group, but I don't even shower every day. And I know plenty of other people who do the same, so no I don't think it's gross. I know that both my skin and my hair would be very dry if I did wash it every day.
I will say, though, there is nothing like showering at night (and actually having time to shave my legs) and then climbing into a bed with just washed sheets. That is wonderful!
Seriously, the only time I've ever showered at night and then the next morning was after really hot sex!

You re-shower in the morning? Do you get dirty when you sleep somehow?
I shower at night. If I try to in the morning or day, I get a 5 second shower. If I wait until my son is asleep, I don't have to rush. I would feel guilty wasting so much water, showering twice in a 24 hour period. (Not saying you should, that's just me!!)

I used to shower at night when I needed to get a shower before my roommates (5 women and 1 bathroom...I swear we were a psych experiment!) or when I had to catch the 6:45 train. I could take a better shower and not be as rushed in the AM. My SD and DD take baths at night as well, unless it's a weekend for similar reasons. I figure we bathe as often as necessary in 24 hours and it doesn't matter when. Most days I shower in daytime/morning since I no longer have that schedule. Or I wait til afternoon when SD is here to keep half an eye on what DD is doing so I can spare the time to shave.
I know people who shower at night because they can't stand the idea of being dirty from the day and crawling into bed.

I usually shower at night. In my mind if I go to bed clean, I wake up that way and my sheets are clean. Maybe your life is more exciting than mine, but it's not all that often that I'm doing anything overnight that gets me dirty and requires a shower in the morning ;-)
I can't imagine ever having the time to shower and dry my hair in the morning. Even with a good blow dryer, it takes 20 minutes to dry my hair and I just don't have that kind of time to waste, so it air dries while I sleep. Even if I work out in the morning, I don't wash my hair when I shower after.
I don't get why anyone would think this is weird.

If I've been doing something that made me dirty/yucky, then I shower at night. If I am not going anywhere first thing in the morning (I am a SAHM) then I won't usually shower in the morning. I'll shower midday, before I leave the house for something more involved than running into Walmart for a loaf of bread.
If I have any kind of appointment first thing, (Dr., dentist, taxes, car maintenance, church, ANYthing) then I shower first thing in the morning. If I don't, then usually I will wait to shower until after lunch... so that I can shower right after going for a run, or after I have done the yard work, or after I have ____, so that when I leave the house, I am fresh. Being a SAHM, I have that flexibility.
When I was working, I showered first thing every morning, and only at night if I had been to the gym or whatever that made me all sweaty.
I know many ladies, however, that took to showering at night (and not in the mornings) when their kids were little--so they could do so in peace and not worry what the kids were getting into while they were in the shower.

I shower/bathe in the evening right before i get in bed. The main reason is as a single mother with 2 toddlers i dont have time to shower dress and get the kids dressed to go to daycare in the mornings unless i get up at like 430am and since i dont typically go to bed until nearly 11pm thats just wouldnt work. Also i cant stand getting in to my bed dirty makes me feel like i need to wash my sheets every day versus once a week.

two showers a day? wow! not me. I shower in the mornings and that's it. only time I've ever showered twice is if I get really sweaty or dirty for some reason. my mom has always taken her showers at night, which I find odd, just because the couple of times I've done it I wake up with weird hair (even after blow-drying my hair). I have super fine hair that gets greasy quickly so I like to wash it in the mornings then blow dry and go - looks better and more voluminous that way!

I was raised in a family where we only showered at night, and I did that all the way through college, but I now have a haircut that is very short and crazy after a night's sleep, so I shower both in the morning (but just for a rinse) and in the evening (for a wash).
My husband was raised in the family where they only shower in the mornings. I personally think this is a bit gross (climbing into bed with the day's sweat and dirt still on you), so I ask him to shower in the evenings as well, unless we just spent the day kicking around the house. He does it to please me, but doesn't share my bias. ^_^

When I get off work I have to take care of a 6 month old, make dinner, spend time with my husband, clean, sometimes laundry....etc. So, IF I take a shower at night it is only to de-stress....if I have a hard day.
I dont see any point in taking a shower at night...to sleep....then wake up and clean again. What are you doing in your sleep that would make you so dirty? I like the showers in the morning...its easier to do my hair when its wet...and I feel more awake...clean...and ready for the day.

I sometimes shower at night and sometimes in the morning. I'd say about half and half. I feel better if I shower in the morning, but some days I have a hard workout or run and so I shower that afternoon or evening. Then the next morning I do not bother to take a shower again. I often do not have time in the morning either...it's so rush rush getting one child ready for school and breakfasts and lunchbox etc. Then I'm out the door with the little one often right after we get back from the bus stop.

I am like you and most times take a shower in the morning and at night. I too am a SAHM and by the end of the day have various substances on me:) The reason I take one in the morning too is that Yes, I do get dirty during the night because I am a sweater! and also, it wakes me up (I am not a morning person). Plus when I exercise after I haven't showered in the am (remember -sweater!) I smell even worse. And so do a lot of other people if you've ever noticed at the gym. Young/teenage guys are very guilty of this.

I shower at night. I work out at 8:30 after I put my boys to bed. I can't go to bed all sweaty and gross. I wash my hair and blow-dry it at night then in the morning I either flat iron it or use my 2" curling iron and put some big curls in it. I already get up at 5:30. If I had to shower and blow-dry my long, thick hair in the am I would have to get up at 4:45. No thanks.
Sometimes I will take a quick shower in the am (if I had weird crazy night sweats or sex), but I don't rewash my hair.

I only shower at night. I used to shower in the mornings before work, but my hair is long and would take so long to blow dry that I often ended up going to work with half wet hair. I find that my hair actually styles better when it dries through the night. I find it relaxing to shower at night because the kids are already in bed, and I don't feel rushed like I would in the mornings, plus I'm just not a morning person so any reason to sleep in a little more is good :)

I shower at night for several reasons...
1. I work out as my "down time" at night and can't sleep if I feel gross.
2. I have to LEAVE my house by 6:45 in the morning for work. If I showered in the morning, I would have to be up and moving by 5. If I shower at night, I can wake up at 5:45.
3. My husband and son don't need to get up as early as I do, so showering in the morning would mean blow-drying in the morning too... would wake up the whole house.
4. If I shower at night and want to take a 30 minute bath instead... who cares? I don't have any place I "need to be"!
I wasn't a fan of it at first, but it has become part of my routine and it works for us. My husband has actually started showering at night too for many of the same reasons.

If I swim or play tennis, I shower right after that. On other days, sometimes I shower in the AM, sometimes in the PM, sometimes not at all. Depends on what's going on that day. If I've showered in the PM the night before and have no plans other than light housework and know I'm going to shower the next morning after swimming, I won't bother showering that day - my poor super-dry skin can't take a daily shower! And hair? I only wash it every other day AT THE MOST...and it's strong, healthy and in perfect condition.

I shower when I can. Nothing specific. Sometimes (not often) it's in the morning. Sometimes in the late morning, sometimes in the afternoon, and sometimes in the evening. however, the time between showers is about 1.5 days. (ie I showered today around 10 am and will shower sometime tomorrow - probably not until 7 pm when I have a chance to get around to it). I have a friend that showers morning, night, and usually a couple of more times a day. I kind of think that's weird. But to each their own.

I take one in the morning to wake up and feel fresh, but I also take one at night to relax and feel fresh. I have to wash my hair in the morning too. Not always at night, but in the morning, I had a friend tell me that your hair falls out more when you wash it all the time, she washed hers every 3-4 days; it was very long and thick.
I'm like you, but I do know many people who will do one a day, and if they aren't going anywhere they don't have too. I love to be clean...

My hair also works better its fine and straight so i can go to bed with a wet head and it will still be straight as a board after a quick brush so i dont have to worry about drying it if I feel like curling it for the day.
