JFF - What's Your Favorite Cereal?? Comfort Food

I don't eat cereal but my go to indulgence this week has been cotton candy from the TX State fair!!

Dry frosted flakes and fruit loops are a great snack.

Today I made chili and I love it over fritios with extra cheese!

My breakfast weakness is real chocolate milk, ice cold.

Now I'm hungry!!

Golden Grahams! And, no, its not my comfort food.

French fries are a definite go to for me if I'm wanting to indulge.

Hmm... Cheerios and Captain Crunch. Yum! Comfort food? Chicken and dumplins made by me!!! YUM YUM!!!!

Okay I think I have your new screen name,
"Cheerio"
It's sounds a bit like "Cheryl O" it's bright and peppy, and it represents something wholesome that you love!

p.s. I like Life, Special K and Mini Wheats, but my "comfort" cereal is Irish Steel Cut Oatmeal, with a little brown sugar and milk...

Count Chocula is so very yummy!!

My all-time favorite has to be Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I'm a fan of the Kashi cereals though. The Blueberry crunch with flakes is good.

Comfort food is my grandmothers' southern cooking. Corn bread, REAL grits, collard greens, pulled pork, and squash with cheese. YUM.

Cascadian Farms Dark Chocolate Almond Granola is my favorite.

Fruit Loops, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Apple Jacks - No, it's not my comfort food.

Cocoa Pebbles! I love most chocolatey cereals though :-)

Favorite cereal is Cheerios.
Though I do eat Cocoa Krispes, Cap'n Crunch especially when they come out with their Christmas time ones.

Frosted Mini Wheats, till they are somewhat mushy. Cinnamon Life, also somewhat mushy. All time favorite and great comfort food.....Quaker Fruits & Cream oatmeal....YUUUUMMMM!

comfort food? anything in a crock pot that has simmered all night and awaken to at 4AM for a quick bite

My favorite cereal is something like "Pumpkin Flax" from (I think?) Nature's Path. It is honestly the YUMMIEST CEREAL I have tasted...so decadent.

It USED to be Shrek cereal...not the one you can get now, but the older one that was like sugared Corn Pops with marshmallows. Of course, I was pregnant at the time so maybe it was a craving thing!! :)

I am also a fan of most Chex (except Wheat and Chocolate), Life, Honey Bunches of Oats, Banana Nut Crunch, and Special K Red Berries.

My favourite cereals are Brown Sugar Frosted Mini Wheats and Peaches and Cream Quaker Instant Oatmeal.
My comfort food is Kraft Dinner, perogies and poutine.

I love all those sugar cereals, too, as well as Cookie Crisp! But my all time favorite is actually somewhat healthy - Grape Nuts, with a little added sugar! Although, sometimes I fear I may break a tooth on one of those things.

I don't really eat cereal much and we have stopped buying the sugary kind. BUT, if calories weren't an issue I could easily down a box of Cocoa Pebbles. Runner up is Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch. YUM!!

For comfort food I reach for potatoes, usually any kind of cheesy potatoes. Mac and cheese does the trick too.

My favorite is Cream of Wheat.

When it comes to cold cereals, I admit, I always add a bit of chocolate to the milk. That goes for raisin bran, honey bunches of oats, etc.

My other favorite is adding yogurt to granola instead of milk. It's pretty wonderful.

Raisin Bran has been my fave since I was a kid. Yes, I'm a weirdo! I always think of Cinnamon Life and Golden Grahams as really special treats!!! Cereal is definitely a comfort food...hubby and I love it for a meal, snack or dessert. Both kids don't like it which is the oddest thing to me. I ate so much cereal as a kid... I really can't believe the LO doesn't like it since that and peanut butter were about the only things I ate while pregnant. Oh the cereal cravings were UNBELIEVABLE when I was pregnant!

Cinnamon LIFE

Nature's Path granola (from Costco) - I put some of that in plain Greek (Fage) yogurt, and add some sliced bananas & dried cranberries -- HEAVEN in a bowl!

Cocoa Roos (generic for Cocoa Puffs) - cheaper, and I prefer the taste

The granola is a comfort food for me, because it is actually healthy, so I don't feel guilty eating it ;-)

I like Special K --protein plus. I haven't had sugary cereal for about 20 years, and I can't honestly stomach it. If I want comfort in the morning, I make french toast or waffles. I absolutely love cheese and mushroom omelets.

I'm a fan of Life Cereal. Fruit Loop are good for a snack now and then too.

My favorite comfort cereal is Quaker Maple & Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal

Lucky Charms, but the generic version whatever that brand is...?
It's not my comfort food, but it is my go-to for my sweet tooth fix.

it used to be a tie between lucky charms and captaincrunch... just discovered a new one though, cinnamon roll captain crunch, seriously it tastes just like a cinnabon!

My favorite cereal is good old fashioned Corn Flakes. I do put some Equal in the milk to sweeten it up a bit. I also like Rice Krispies. I will occasionally eat Fruity Peebles and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but only in small doses. I don't like the overly sweetened cereals.

Targets chocolate hazelnut biscotti is the best American cereal.
There is no context though for the U.K's Marks and Spencers triple chocolate crunch. It is to. die. for.

Capn Crunch! My fav right there. I used to like Fruit Loops, but a developed cherry allergy makes it impossible for me to eat. Well, not impossible but the results are not pretty.

I LOVE shredded wheat-the frosted kind. :) But my comfort food is definitely Kettle Corn popcorn-just lightly salted and sweetened.

peanut butter crunch is probably my all time favorite "comfort" cereal.

usually we are chex/cheerio people. i don't buy sugary cereals.

Today the whole fam ate Oh's! for breakfast. Not a comfort food, but a favorite for many years. Hmm. Second and third ingredients are sugar!

No....generally, cereal isn't a comfort food for me, but Mama does love her some Multigrain Cheerios!
