So What Happened?

We use luvs. Great price and don't leak! :) My husband and I already have one in diaper and hope to be potty training her this fall and another baby on the way in December. This was just a fun question is all.

Cloth! Best decision I ever made $$ wise.

When we do need disposables(if family members are watching her), I use Pampers (if I have a really good coupon) or Luvs for nap/nighttime (yeah for daytime trained!).

Like someone else said, we mainly use cloth diapers (pocket diapers and Gdiapers), but we do use disposables here and there too. When we use disposables I normally get whatever I have a coupon for, but usually it's pampers babydry.

Cloth! Prefolds and fitteds for the first year or so, while they change sizes so fast, and pocket diapers for the second year when they can wear one size longer.

I love not throwing money in the garbage!

Hi!

We went with FuzziBunz. They are a cloth pocket diaper. I love them for a lot of reasons ~ the first = dryness. The hospital had them in disposable and they both had diaper rash. About two days in FuzziBunz, they were both cleared up. The fleece lining just pulls the moisture away from their skin. They are adjustable in size at the leg and waist, so they will fit until they are poddy-trained.

I don't know where you are at in your journey, but if you are still expecting, here's the path we took. We are on a pretty tight budget so when the hostess of a shower would ask "What do you really want/need?", we went pretty practical and tried to plan ahead to avoid a ton of expense once the babies actually arrived. Every one bought one or two for a shower and we had a set. (Or gave us $ to put toward them. About $18 if I remember right.)

I also had a girl friend who called and said "I don't have much $ for a gift, but I sew and you don't. Is there anything I could make for you?" So I got a couple yards of flannel that matched my nursery and she made two-ply squares that fit in my wet-wipe-warmer. I wash them with the diapers in the HiE.

I feel like I am doing my part to be a little green and with nursing and hand-me-down's, we have had very little cost since they were born.

Let me know if you have specific questions on FuzziBunz (or anything else). Congrats!
Mamma C

Target brand or Luvs. For nighttime, I use Huggies Goodnights.

I used Huggies for my 2 boys. They worked great. No idea why but they leaked so badly with my daughter. She's using Costco's Kirkland brand and has since she was very little. They work wonderfully!

Target brand. I have compared prices with EVERY other diaper out there and they are the cheapest, but they don't leak and I've never had any problems with them.

I used to buy Pampers or Target brand until a friend of mine swore that the Walmart brand diapers were just as good as Pampers and better than Target. So I bought a small pack and couldn't believe it - they really are just as good as Pampers! And at least half the price. Softer than Target and Huggies and you can tell when they're wet (unlike Target brand).

Huggies. I tried all diapers including generic ones and Huggies were the ones that worked best. Initially, I wanted to do cloth diapers, but I panicked at the thought of what that would entail when I found out I was having two babies. I was working at the time too so I thought I'd be asking for trouble if I tried it. I wished I'd have tried the cloth for at least at home or the times I was with them. It is what it is though. :)

Target Up and Up brand. Used to use Pampers, but love the Target and save lots of $!

This that and everything! I save coupons - the Super Target here takes more than 1 coupon and expired, so I use those and get brand names for less than Target brand. I tried Walmart when she was little but she had a horrible diaper rash from them and I've been leery to try them again. I also like Walgreens brand - when they have their specials and reward $ they're really cheap! Mostly I use Huggies because they have more coupons. Diapers are what I do for retail therapy - figure they'll be used and it's a little high to figure out the best deal!
