So I was sitting on the couch today with my 2 year old (it was thundering and he gets scared unless we are snuggled together) and he starts blowing spit on my belly. I told him to stop and didn't know why he was doing this. He is usually so polite. I finally figured it out! he is trying to blow rasberries on my belly like I do with him lol. Another one is for a while everytime we went to the store he would say " boon? boon?" well i didn't know what this ment. Then I remembered the past couple times we have gone to the store there have been loose balloons in the grocery area. he wanted to know where the balloons were. My son also likes to be helpful, and the other day I was doing laundry. I had it all folded and was carrying some down to my bedroom (I am pregnant and lifting the whole bassket hurts my back) I am coming out of the room and my son comes running down the hallway withh an arm full of the once folded clothes shouting "here you go!" What things have your toddlers down that you have misunderstood or they misunderstand as being helpful?
aw kids are so funny and amazing! My husband one day went to out of town and he ended up in Porterville. My daughter at the time was 3 and she wanted to talk to her Daddy so I called his phone for her and she spoke with him. She asked where he was at and he told her in Porterville. She then looks at me and says, Mommy, Daddy is at Whoresville.....it was so hilarious I almost wet my shorts!!
My 23 month old went around for two weeks shouting "Damn-it". It took us a long time to figure out she was saying "found it".
She helped me make pumpkin pies last week and she took all the eggs and threw them in the bowl and got a fork to mix it with. (luckly I had given her a small bowl to put the eggs in before we added them to the mixing bowl.) I was picking out shells for quite a while. They were a birthday present for my brother and he said he loved the extra crunch because it came with so much love.
Last night my 3-year-old daughter asked if we could watch Pirates of the Carrot-Beans. (Pirates of the Caribbean). :D
Several months ago, I wasa going to the bathroom and I closed the door. My 3 yr. old (now 4 yr. old) knocked on the door and asked what I was doing. i told her that I was peeing and she couldnt come in. She said, "But can't I show love to you while you're peeing?". Lolz. I let her in once she said that. She's so sweet...
ugh my 2 year old wanted to "help" me make roti (flatbread) so she dumped the entire bag on the floor and was dropping her juice from her sippy cup in it. YIKES... or the time my 4 year old had bug bites and I was busy with the baby so she covered her self in the hydrocortozone creme. Or when she over heard me saying to someone I think she had a dry throat. SO she went and drank the Mineral Oil for me. LOL kids.
My DD is 18 months old, and hasn't figured out how to say 'potty' yet. Her method of telling me she needs to 'go' is to try to climb into my lap, and push me out of my chair (or if I'm not sitting, she will start pulling on my pants.) It took me so long to figure that out! I would tell her to go play with her toy, or start playing with her only to notice a puddle around her feet within a minute or two.
She also loves to give everyone their drinks. If she sees an unattended bottle of pop on the table, she will carry it to everyone in the house until whoever it belongs to claims it.
Our three year said from the backseat of the truck: "Dad, I have google bumps"...I turned to look and he's showing me his arm...I said "oh you have goose bumps".
Our daughter six is really into making her own PBJ for lunch in the mornings. I've never seen so much jelly in my life...and very little on the bread! But eh...she's gotta learn!
She used to call her kid computer her "peter". As well as her dads laptop...took us a whole 20 minutes to figure out "dad your peter is on"...was "dad your computer is on"
When my dd was 3 I guess I bought some foundation only to discover that it was too light for my skin. I decided to take it back the next day. While I was washing dishes my dd came out of the bathroom with this stuff all over her face and hands. I panicked because I didn't know what it was. Upon investigating I spotted the foundation on the bathroom counter. There was foundation everywhere. I had to laugh. It was so caked on I had to use makeup remover to get it off of her. Needless to say I couldn't take it back for a refund.
This morning my 5 and 3 year old were having a conversation amongst themselves and it was hilarious. So my son asks my daughter if she finds his ring in her room will she give it to him. She asks where is it. He tells her that if she is cleaning her room and finds it he would like it back. She again asks where it is. He then gets frustrated and says "What do I look like I am science?" I asked him if he meant to say "psychic" and he tells me no because he doesn't know what that means. I was laughing so hard I almost had to pull the car over.
My 19-month-old likes to "tir" (stir) my cawee (coffee.). This means drinking luke warm coffee so it's safe for her to "tir" and me making sure she doesn't take a sip off the "poon." (spoon).
She also likes to help "watah pants" (plants) which means a prelude to washing the floor.
It truly is adorable and I wouldn't trade her wanting to help for the world :-)
And my DD also calls balloons "boons" or "bulls!"
One day we were at the park and my kids were playing with sticks and they found a couple of really big ones. Well, a L. later we were on our way home and my 3 yr old daughter says "Mommy, I love big dicks", " Big dicks are so much fun!" My husband and I were horrified wondering where she heard that word so I questioned her a L. more and realized that dick meant stick!!!! Once we realized that, we were cracking up! LOL!
