Jff, How Old Is the Oldest Pair of Underwear in Your Drawer?

i realized that I still wear a pair of Le Mistier panties I bought in 2000 (paid $17 dollars for). The only reason I remember this is that I had never spent that much on a pair of panties. They have held up so well. There is no sign of stretched out elastic, or holes. And its not that I reserved them for special occasions, I wore them often. I recently restocked my underwear at Target and have had to through half of them out for falling apart weeks and months after I bought them. So just curious, how old is the oldest pair of underwear you own and do you know the brand and how much you paid for it? Turns out my most expensive pair of underwear was my most economical.

What can I do next?

Embarrassingly old, many pounds ago, bought at The Jone's Store, long enough ago that Montgomery Wards, Woolworth and Venture were still in business. And it was 10 cents to use a pay phone! Ha Ha!

Psh, why do you ask?

I have three gorgeous bra/panty sets I bought at VS when my oldest was a baby (he's 19 now).

Sure, go ahead, laugh, but ONE DAY the Hottie Fairy is going to come back and sprinkle her Hottie Dust over me again, and when I wake up I'll be a 26 yr old 120 pound hottie again!!!

BAHAWAHAHA!

There is no real hope for me, SAVE YOURSELVES!!

OMG this is too funny!
Good one!

I can't even imagine, how many years old, some of mine are.
What a laugh!
I'm sure my Husband couldn't tell you either!
LOL

Okay put it this way: I still have a few of my risque underwear, from college.
STILL can fit it! I don't know how. I think the elastic waistband is stretched out from age. Well not really.
I still don't know how I can still fit it.
My figure is not the same shape.
Hilarious.

But yes, the expensive underwear, last.
Real well.

I have one that is 15 years old and I know that because I bought them when I started dating my husband. They are these Marilyn Monroe line of underwear that I definitely don't fit into but I just fawn over them when I see them lonely in the drawer. More than anything they bring back memories so I keep it around along with its bra set. ... Memories like the corners of my mind ....

My oldest pair just might be older than some of you reading this thread... I KNOW they are older than my kids!

I have a pair, hidden somewhere at the bottom of my drawer, that I just can't throw away.... I got them when I was in college, and bowling on the collegiate bowling team. They have a cute picture of a girl bowling on them! And... if I remember correctly, she is bowling left-handed... (I am left-handed)...and I think she has red hair.. (like me....)

I used to wear them for the bowling tourneys.... for 1 day, anyway.

There is no way I can fit in them, and they are getting rather raggedy....

and.... get this...I graduated from college in 1980!

Yep.... I'm sentimental. I have no idea how long ago I actually wore them.....

My oldest *underwear* (so funny, I just had them out last night, but not exactly to wear) is from 1998. The last time I wore them was in 99. They're blue velvet (brand loooooong gone). I was in a car in the middle of the desert in 99 and I used them and a matching bra as a bikini to go swimming in a hotel pool. I save them for the memory.

I had them out last night because a bra decided to impale me (darnit!) just as I was leaving, and I needed something soft to put between the stabby wire and my skin, so I snagged them and tucked them between me and it.

The oldest ones I *wear* are bras, and are 8.5 years old. I just lob them in with jeans, and 8.5 years later they're still mint/ beautiful/ perfect. Ironically, the one that broke was brand new (I'm going to take it back)... since I've never had one of these last less than 6 years... it must be a flaw in the metal. I buy VERY expensive french lingerie, because I'm an odd size (36 quad D, or 38 trip D) and have a latex allergy. The french lingerie I buy is mostly silk and lace (no elastic or very very little elastic). The range from 100-200.

Hahaha, such a funny question! I have a few pairs from high school--I graduated 11 years ago, but I SWEAR some day I will fit into them again.

My dad used to say to brothers (when they challenged his authority), "I have UNDERWARE older than you two!" Indeed he did!

I have a latex allergy, and sometimes I'll accidentally buy a pair where the elastic in the legs will give me a rash... So I bought a pair of cotton knit women's boxer shorts at Victoria's Secret, to wear while I'm healing up. I think latex based elastic has become pretty obsolete, but I still have those boxers just in case. I've probably had them in my drawer since 1990, and I must have paid less than $10 back then... I almost never wear them, but they're still wearable.
