JFF For Valentine's Day - Who's Your Favorite Couple?

In honor of Valentine's Day, I decided to run a contest/book giveaway on my website. I originally planned on asking my readers to let me know their favorite literary couples, but was inspired to open it up to favorite couples in general after talking to my mom and listening to her regale me with stories of her favorite couple ever, who just happened to be her grandmother and grandfather.

So my question is this: Who is your favorite couple? Are they from a book? A song? A movie? Your life?

What can I do next?

How about Ronald and Nancy Reagan? I saw a special on his presidency and it was clear how close and in love they were until the end. They said there was never cheating, the two always stuck together...if it's all true, then they could be a great couple to remember. I also thought of Pope John Paul II and Mother Theresa. ALthough not technically a couple, they worked together closely for most of his term as a Pope to help poor people around the world and saved millions of lives.

Ellen DeGeneras and Portia DeRossi!!... and I'm not gay, LOL!!

I think they're just wonderful!

We also have these friends who are high school sweethearts. They come from the same place, financially, as my husband and I. They are ALWAYSSSS griping about each other... but OMG I've never ever seen anyone more in love. It's like 'the notebook' and 'grumpy old men' combined... they love each other so deeply, but rarely admit it! They're me fav :)

I love the couple from "Up!" What a beautiful story & such a heart warming way to open that movie.

In real life, I like Mark Conseulos & Kelly Rippa. I saw a really great article (I think in "Better Homes and Gardens") last week and Kelly really made it seem like they are so grounded, and they actually go to church every week! Wow, don't get that much in Hollywood!

In real real life--my in-laws. They really have made so many sacrifices for one another. They left a HUGE fortune behind in their country so that my FIL could get proper medical care here in the US, and so that their children could grow up without being under Saddam Hussein's thumb. They are amazing people and came to this country with nothing--their degrees (an engineer, and an MD) haven't been used 20 years, and they have been working retail or factory jobs while building their life here. Just amazing to me. (My parents are ok too, but my in-laws really taught me what sacrificial love is all about).

I like Guiliana (sp?) and Bill Rancic (sp?) she is lovely and he is just perfect! You can feel the love on their TV show!

Besides them, I am a fan of my parents as a couple. My father told my mother he was going to marry her the very first time he met her! He also made her engagement ring out of a quarter in his garage! How sweet is that?!

I also thought of Ron and Nancy...I remember seeing somewhere that when he was suffering from Alzheimers, and a caretaker was out taking a walk w/ him that he ventured off into someone else's yard, toward their rose bushes. And when They said Mr. President, this isn't your yard." He replied "I know. I want to bring back a flower for my love." Brings tears to my eyes!!!!

Also, my Aunt has been w/ her husband since she was 14!!! She has never even held hands w/ another boy!" They have been married 40+ years, have been through so much together. But they genuinely love, respect, and like each other. He has taken amazing care of their family, and she still dotes on him w/ joy. I have NEVER heard her speak negatively of him, and vice versa. I adore them. They are a real life love story. A REAL couple that I hope I can be like.

I also love my "couplism" w/ my husband. He is my best friend, my soul mate and the man I was meant to be with!
