JFF - Does Your Dog Get in on the Action?

Whenever things get hot & heavy between my husband and me, our little 8 lb miniature dachshund thinks its time for an orgy and will start humping my arm, my husband's leg, etc. Keep in mind she's a female dog, has been fixed at an early age, never humps us at any other time and has never had herself any doggy lovin. :) I know dogs hump each other for power so my guess is that she thinks my hubby and I are struggling for power and she's telling us that actually SHE'S in charge. My hubby thinks she's turned on by the sexual charge in the air and its her inner horniness coming out. LOL. Just curious if your dogs do this and if so, do you know why?? Happy Friday!! :)

What can I do next?

The only way my dog interferes is by letting off some of her stinky gas!! It has a way of spoiling the moment!

this will be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY tmi, but several years ago, we were "gettin' jiggy with it" and our puppy reached up and slapped my husband's balls - LOL! we were laughing so hard, we just had to quit...

when she was much younger, our doberman would stick her face right up in our faces, almost like she was jealous of the attention and wanted to make sure we didn't forget about her :(

OMG! Eagles actually made me gag a little! And so did your graphics. GROSS! Our dog is basically outside. I would freak out if this happened to us. But I'm not really a "pet" person...thank God if this is what they tend to do...

Nope. Our doggie sleeps or is out of the room. She has never come over to the bed and so much as snuffled at us. We have a big dog (GSD) and she is never allowed on the bed (or other furniture). She started out in a crate in our bedroom at night (when she was a puppy crate training) and has never so much as shown any concern whatsoever when we are .... busy.

She does however, try to get in on the action whenever we have a "family hug" with the kids, or hubby is roughhousing with the kids. She gets SUPER excited about that and play growls and yips and such.

All animals get turned out of the room/ house/ wherever.

Fish I'm fine with. Their lives are boring. And they have to stay put. Anything that can walk it's happy self on up is shoed out and kept out. Period.

Our dog LOVES hugs, though. He'll jump up and use his "arms", too. Then he wants a 'canine hug' aka arm chewing or jaw chewing.

We have cats - but the boy cat gets very interested and wants to be right there to watch and get close. He thinks he's my lover and seems very jealous of my husband. He'll cudle up next to me most cold nights and puts his head on my shoulder while he sleeps. When my husband and I are talking or touching while laying in bed he'll pick his head up off my shoulder and GLARE at my husband. He is fixed -but I think it's just the alpha-cat thing...

HAHAHA! hilarious question, hilarious responses! So great!

I have a boston terrier, a chihuahua, and a boxer. And a guinea pig. None of our animals seem to care when we are getting busy. They know to leave the room. My boston terrier & chihuahua always sleep cuddled up with me so sometimes they stand at the door and whine until we are done and then they'll come rushing in to cuddle. But they never bother us.

My little dog barks and gets excited if my wife and I hug each other or hug one of our children or grandchildren. He has always been that way. So we pick him up and put him between us and hug and he is in 7th heaven. Nothing else affects him.

Good luck to you and yours

I've had many of our different dogs either "come to my rescue" as it looks like I am being mauled (hahaha) or just plain old curious wanting to "investigate".
Tell hubby that it is highly unlikely that she's "turned on by the sexual charge". Gotta love that. Only something a male would think of.
hahaha :)
