Yeah, Lenscrafters gave me photos of my eyes once after an exam.
They look like a wierd form of art.
I never would have guessed it was my eyeballs.
Mine looked like undiscovered planets in outer space ;)
I went to the eye doctor recently, to have the pressures checked in my eyes. (I have higher pressures so I have to go every six months) Anyway, they take a lot of pictures of your eyes, one was just an extreme close up of my pupil and iris. Seriously, that is the creepiest thing ever! Seriously, my normally brown-ish (there is still questions as to the exact color, but that is another question for another day! ha! ha!) eyes looked yellow! I googled other images of extreme close ups of other eyes, yeah, they all look strange.
Don't get me wrong, eyes are very beautiful, but when it gets to extreme close ups, they just are unsettling. Anyone else ever looked at extreme close ups of eyes and thought they were weird?
ha! ha! ha! ha! Thanks for all the thoughts on eyeballs! Actually my doctor made a pretty good joke during the eye exam while I was looking at the images. I made a statement about my iris looking yellow and he said extremely deadpan, "Well it is obviously because you are a werewolf."

I worked for Ophthalmology for years and saw some creepy stuff (LASIK surgery up close on the moniter... ew).
The worst was when the Doc called me in to help him with something but forgot to warn me that the patients prosthetic eye was out. There's the patient on the chair with a big old gaping eye socket open... and the "screw" thing that holds the fake eye in moving around in there, tracking with the other eye as if it were looking at me too. It's crazy how our eyes work and how complex the system is.
I've studied iridology and I think the eyes are fascinating !
They are the windows to the soul..... lol
I look at them and think boy am I lucky they can do this lol. It is creepy but I had my retina detach over and over. after the 3rd surgery it was to save any existing vision. after the 6th surgery it was just to save the eye itself. Disease in the eye can cause a lot of problems. Just look at that photo and say yep I got a good eye.
not creepy, but since its of the eye close up, its considered a direct stare. We are all animal in some way yet. Direct stares can cause certain people to feel uncomfortable and agitated. Its a sign of aggression and dominance. If your not this type of person in real life, a close up picture of the eye is very disconcerting.
Mine are a general dull blue to those not looking closely, but close up they are grey, with flecks of green and bright blue.
you want creepy. take a pic of your ear. The eyes can be intense. the ear is very strange.
I think many of them look like spacial black holes. I think they are beautiful up close. I Googled it after I read your post. :) You can see where the phrase, "eyes are the mirror to the soul" comes from!

I too like eyes. But not that up close! Mine are brown with some green on the bottom.I like the blue+green eyes, they look like jewels to me. Or the amber color, that's beautiful too. Eyes are the brain poking out of the skull, did you all know this? Yup, that's how they develop. Good girl checking for pressure, that helps prevent glaucoma.
Oh, and if you do not have an iron - a hair dryer will work too but it takes longer.
Hmmm how did this one get here??
I creeped myself out as a kid by looking directly into my own eyes in the mirror and am still creeped out by the close ups as an adult.
I have had the pressure procedure and close up pictures done too and I have refused to look!
J.,
I have had two corneal transplants, so I know all about up close pictures of the eyes. I don't think it's creepy or weird. I think it's totally cool! They took the pictures so they can see the stiches in my eyes. I have blue eye's, not that makes any difference.
