I thought I'd see how many J.'s we have on here. I always went to school with at least 3 or more when I was little. Also what is your middle name and did your parents name you after anyone famous???

I'm J. Lynn (Typical) LOL
My mom said she liked th e name.
J. O'Neill was famous back in the day.

What can I do next?

I'm a Jennifer Mary and my maiden last name is very popular. My mom took to me a specialist appointment at a big regional hospital when I was kid and there were more than 30 people in their database with my first and last name. I worked with a girl who had the same first name, last name and middle initial so on the schedule they had to call us Jen (A) and Jen (B) based on the name of the towns we lived in. There were 6 Jennifers in my high school graduation class of 92 girls. That said, I haven't met that many Jennifers in the past few years but I think that's because I'm younger than most of my older kids' friends' parents and they're all named Donna, Karen and Michelle. I have 5 friends named Donna who I've met through my kids.

I'm not a Jennifer but M. and I always went to school with lots of Michelles. I was named this because my mom liked the Beatles song. And since you can spell my name differently I always had to spell my name and I hated that. When thinking of names for our kids that was a criteria... Had to be easy to spell. Unfortunately I didn't realize that Emily was the most popular name for umpteen years when we named my first daughter that. When # 2 came along the criteria for a name was 1) easy to spell and 2) not on the top ten list of popular names! My middle name is Rene and I always wanted to marry a man with a French last name. I thought it would sound so international!

I'm a Jennifer! I went to school with at least 2 or 3 Jennifer's too, so I know what you mean.

I'm Jennifer Elizabeth. My middle name is one passed down for generations to the oldest girl. The name came from Queen Elizabeth. My great (too many to list) grandmother was a handmaid for Queen Elizabeth and she named her first daughter after her. And it went on from there.

I know/knew only 4 Jennifers. Funny - two Jennifers had the exact same last name. (Jennifer E & John E were brother and sister, John married a gal named Jennifer P, who changed her name to Jennifer E when they married. So SIL and SIL both are Jennifer E.)

Me? Jessica. Once had a roommate Jessica. Strangely, it wasn't very confusing. We wrote first and middle initials on our CDs to not mix them up. When people called they just asked for Jessica and we knew which one they wanted, or they clarified by last name. No biggie. But other than her, I don't know any Jessicas. Oh wait - recently I thought someone had stolen my identity. Long story short, another Jessica Mymaidenname is out there - a 3rd or 4th cousin I didn't know about. People were sending her emails to the wrong email address (my email address) which is my first and maiden name. HER email is her first, middle initial, and maiden name. We've now chatted back and forth a little to find out exactly how we're related.

I was one of about 5 Jennifer's in my graduating class! My mom didn't name me after any particular Jennifer. She said she just liked the name. My middle name is after my grandmother.
Fun question!

I know at least 10 Jennifer's personally - not just through here....went to school with A LOT of Jenny's, Jen's, Jennifer's.

My name was "rare" in school. I didn't meet another Cheryl until the 4th grade. And then again in 10th. There is another Cheryl in our school's LEGO Club.

I'm J. Marie. Marie is my mom's name, and she said that when she heard the name "J.," she just loved it. I vowed never to give one of my kids such a common name, since like you, I was always one of many Jennifers growing up... but then I named my first daughter Emily (the #1 name the year she was born, poor kid) because once I heard the name, I fell in love with it and no other name sounded right for my baby! And my son is named William, and we call him Liam for short--both HUGELY popular names, LOL. I do have a Bailey Brielle, and that, at least, is not too common!

Marie!
I like it though, my name suits me I can shorten it for a more casual interaction and I can lenthen it for a more "adult" version.
