The combination of spotting and cramping together is a stronger sign that there’s something wrong. So I want to suggest to you visit your doctor and so that they can check whether the pregnancy is healthy by looking at the growth of the baby via an ultrasound.Because these signs can be the reason for pregnancy complications. You must don't need to take any type of stress at this time and go to your doctor as soon as possible.Because delay for some time can be harmful to your baby.So just be positive and hope for best.I really hope everything will be fine and congratulations in advance for your twins.
Good Luck

spotting could mean placenta previa, but I'm no doctor. Definitely call and find out.

I had my twins boys thru IVF as well. Get to your doctor tomorrow for an ultrasound. It is always better to know what is going on so you can have a sound piece of mind. I spotted often, and therefore, had extra ultrasounds. This made me feel so much better as I was able to see/hear them both safe and sound inside me :). You don't need any added stress during this time, so I encourage to make an appointment as soon as possible.
Congrats on the twins :)

Call your doctor and ask him/her !! even if it is after hours. You will feel better. Your doc is in a better position to answer than we are. Meanwhile, say a prayer and/or think positive thoughts... I will too. Congrats on the pregnancy!

Hi! Congrats on your twins. I had twins through fertility treatments. We ended up getting pregnant with artificial insemination. So, I understand the battle of getting you to this stage!
I had some spotting & cramps early on as well. I panicked and went to visit my doctor & everything was fine. For sake of argument, you should call your doctor or the nurse at your doctor's office. That's what they are there for and they can either bring you in for an exam or calm your nerves. I am sure those babies are fine but call and you will feel better! Good Luck! My boy/girl twins are 6yrs old now! What a ride!

Cramps and spotting are VERY common with IVF, especially with twins. As long as it isn't gushing and you aren't passing any clots, you are probably fine. Call your RE and make sure, though. They may be able to get you in for an early ultrasound. Make sure you are drinking 96 oz (yes, that is not a typo) of water a day. Dehydration is very dangerous for expecting moms, especially with your circumstances. Good luck and sticky baby dust to you :-)

I wouldnt worry just yet. Spotting occurs in the first trimester about 45% of the time and never turns in to anything. I work for an infertility/IVF department and have patients come in with spotting often. I would recommend you make an appt with your IVF provider or your ob provider to check on the spotting and get an ultrasound to confirm that the twins are doing well. If your spotting turns into heavy bleeding/clots then go straight to the ER.

I had twins via IVF as well. I starting bleeding at about 5 or 6 weeks. I thought for sure I was losing the pregnancy (and after dealing with infertillity and losing my first IVF pregnancy at 22 weeks..it was stressful beyond belief). Called the dr. and they had me come in the next day. My babies were fine. My bleeding came from a broken blood vessel in my uterus. They put me on bedrest for a week and then told me to go on with life as normal. I continued to bleed/spot until about week 13. My babies were born healthy and were fine.

Definately call your dr. and be seen. Try not to stress...but I know how hard that is. Congratulations on your pregnancy and best of luck!!
