Is There Something Wrong with Me? - Gresham, OR

I have become such a major klutz lately. I have spilled so many cups of coffee, it's embarrassing and my fiance is getting really frustrated with me. I'm a scatterbrained type person, so I guess being a little clumsy is in my nature, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm wondering if there could be a medical reason behind me having so many accidents? I'm not dropping things, more like knocking cups over, bumping them, kicking things to the ground. I feel like a complete bonehead, so any responses will definitely help!

What can I do next?

Let's see, while you are having all these little accidents, you're mind is probabky going in a million directions at once, thinking of what needs to be done, what are the kids getting into, how is my son doing in school, why this why that... and either cooking or cleaning or something else that us stay at homes are responsible for...... Am I right?????? I say what you need is some "ME" time!!! Take a step back for awhile and do someting for you every now and again!!! GET REFRESHED AND REVIVED! Good lcuk!

Some people have extended periods of clumsiness towards the end of pregnancy and for 6 onths to a year after wards. and it can be worse after the second child. The joints become looser to make the body more adjustable for delivery and this lingering affect can cause clumsiness. As long as there are no other strange signs like dizziness, blurry visoin, heart palpitations and such I wouldn't worry but if anything else wierd happens I would talk to your dr.

B.,

I would start by just talking to your doctor. I know that there are some conditions in endrocrinology that would make you lose some perception but your doctor is really the best place to start!

Well I know when you are pregnant your center of balance is completly thrown off. When I was pregnant with my first son 14 years ago I actually broke toes from just walking into things I was ridiculously clumsy. But that did wear off after I had him. Is it possible your center is still off? Just something you might want to ask the doctor about.

I would research this. I watched a news special on this once where hands are weaker than usual and it was caused by a condition. I was like this while I was pregnant. I would drop cups of water, my keys, small things, big things. It was if my grip just let go without my brain knowing.
I found a site that talks about it.

I'm sure your in great shape but if it's happening more often, just looking to it just for the heck of it.

Are there any other symptoms? for example, tremors or shakiness, less peripheral vision. Or are you more tired than usual, perhaps more anxious? Do you have balance difficulties?

I'm clumsy some of the time, knocking things over.
I've related it to being tired or anxious or even angry. Recently I've also found that I have a vestibular balance disorder which can account for some of the clumsiness. The symptom that caused me to go to the doctor was chronic mild dizziness. I didn't even realize I was dizzy most of the time because it was so mild. I did notice being dizzy some of the time over the years but the doctors didn't know why.

Without other symptoms I suggest that nothing is wrong. Feeling like a klutz could make you more clumsy because you probably get more tense and/or anxious. I also think having a 6 yo and a baby could be adding to the "clumsiness." :):):) I wouldn't worry, if I were you.
