My 6 months 3 weeks daughter is not rolling over yet, she will turn her top half or her bottom half over but not completely go over. should i be worried about this? she is very active in her walker she sits in it she can't sit without help but she does good with just a little help.she does not hold her bottle yet, but i don't mind that i enjoy my time with her and they grow up to fast anyway so i will hold it as long as i can for her!

What can I do next?

Don't fret...my first baby rolled over at 5 mos and was walking by 9 mos and my second didn't start rolling until 8.5 mos and walked at 14 mos. My third was in between her brothers. There is no set age of when kids do things...well nothing written in stone anyway. My grandaughters(twins) one rolled at 5.5 mos and the other at 6.5 and they have just started crawling at 8 months. It's not a contest. You shouldn't worry unless she doesn't start rolling by 8 months. She may be like my 2nd son and be a little lazy. Calm down and work with her. She may be getting stuck at half way. Who knows, once she rolls she may start crawling soon after...then your hands will really be full

From 6-12 months... I could count on my two hands how many times my daughter rolled over. The day after her first birthday!!- she just started doing it... all day, every day. Don't worry so much. Live and love; the rest is just details!!

Hello, Are you familiar with Early Intervention? If you call your pediatrician they should be able to give you the number. I used early intervention for both of my children who were late talkers, but know other moms who have used them for things like not pulling up and late walking. I believe early intervention is a nation wide program (I am getting ready to move down to Mobile). The services are free. They would come out and do an evaluation, and then if she qualifies they would provide OT or PT free of charge if your insurance doesn't cover it. If you are worried, it is worth getting an evaluation. Hope that helps, H.

Hi C., my name is D. and believe me nothing is wrong with her not rolling over yet! she will when she is ready but remember this if she doesn't have to do something then she probably won't do it until she wants to!! I mean if you do it for her why should she, is she a happy baby? if so then just love her and don't worry about it she will be fine!! good luck and keep me posted on how she does. D.

My kids were rolling over at 3-4 months. They were sitting independently at 6 1/2 to 7 months. I am not sure what the outside limits of the normal range are. I would ask the pediatrician about it. Good luck.

I think it is totally normal. My son rolled over once at 4 months and didn't do it again for several more months. He didn't like being on his belly and he is long so the doctor said that his height was affecting his ability to roll over. He wasn't worried. My son is now 11 1/2 months old, getting ready to walk and rolls over without a problem. He still doesn't do it very much because he would rather be up and walking. I wouldn't compare your daughter to other kids -- it will drive you crazy. They all do things at their own pace.

My youngest didn't actually roll over until she was 8 months old. She wasn't delayed she just really didn't like being on her belly so she never tried to get there and if I put her on her belly she would just lay there and cry. She learned to sit up before she rolled over. I asked my doctor and he just said babies will do it at their own pace. She didn't crawl until she was 10 1/2 months and walked at 13 months. She is now 3 1/2 and doing everything most 3 year olds do. Babies just take things in their own timing. Her older sister did everything so early that I expeted it to be the norm especially with her being second, I figured she would try to keep up, but she just hasn't been as aggressive as he sister and honestly it has made a difference in her attitude (in a good way).
So really I wouldn't worry about it yet. If she isn't doing it by 9 months you might worry, but really if she is progressing in everything else it is no big deal.
