V.S.
5 is a good age, but I never wanted one for my kids because there is no exercise involved. It seemed like the lazy kid's way to play. To each his own.
I have always wanted to get my granddaughter one of these two passenger Power Wheels 12V Barbie Jammin’ Jeep Wrangler Ride-On but may have waited to long is 5 to old for this gift ?

I think that 5 is the perfect age for this gift.
Actually (if this is like what we had) I don't think so (I don't think 5 is too old in other words).
My in-laws gave our kids one when they were very little, and before age 5 (preschool) we had to keep rescuing them and it wasn't entirely safe. Our kids got a big Jeep one where two kids could ride in it (so probably like yours).
Our kids - if this helped - used it up until probably third grade or fourth grade. So I think you're ok.
It was a lot of fun - ours used it around our property rather than on roads. We live down a private lane and they liked it on that even on our grass tearing around. When my kids were in about third grade, they could easily drive a smaller sibling (say a preschooler) around it in as the passenger.
5 is a perfect age. But I might double check with mom and dad first. They are pretty big to store and require complete supervision, until they get the hang of it and can be trusted to follow safety rules.
Is she tall for her age? She may not fit. There are other ride on cars for kids besides the Barbie one. My son has always had one. He started driving them before he started walking. The gas was in the steering wheel. Hes very active, he doesn't just ride all day.
Ask her parents though. My son is able to pop wheelies with these. I don't know how he does it because they aren't light.
My daughter is 8 and she says she always wished to get one of those and she STILL wishes for one. She's too big now..but boy, she wishes she had one. I think age 5 is a great age for it...she will be so excited and will have fun!
