my cycles are very irregular. my husband and i have been trying to have another baby for about 6 months now. i look up when im due to ovulate and we are together durring this time. though my cycles are getting farther and farther apart. i was on loestrine 24 for 2 months to help regulate me last year. i went from every 28 days to 43 now its been 52 days since i bled last. i have taken 2 pregnancy test. one the day i was due to start and then another one on the tenth. both came back negative so im thinking it may just be stress. have any other moms had this problem and what was done about it.

What can I do next?

Hi
Have you had your thyroid checked? It can be a source of irregular periods and fertility problems
Good luck

This may be what you are doing already... but instead of looking up online when you are "supposed" to be ovulating... just go according to your body.... look for your ovulation symptoms, and when your discharge starts to resemble egg-whites.

Here is a link about ovulation symptoms:
http://www.epigee.org/menstruation/mittelschmerz.html
http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/ovulation-symptoms.html

This is what I did mainly. And then once I got my ovulation symptoms, we hit the sack everyday for at least 1 week straight.

And yes, stress can REALLY affect conception. I have a cousin in law, that for YEARS AND YEARS they couldn't conceive even though nothing was wrong with her or him. Once they "gave up", she got pregnant.

All the best,
Susan

I was on Loestrin 24 which was great and helped me a lot...but, my doctor did mention it takes anywhere from 4-6 months to clear your system. So, that might be one thing.

I'm not trying to get preggers, but I've done a ton of research on the pill and so forth. Best advice I have heard from someone who has six kids, it always happen when you are content, healthy and not expecting it. Give yourself a break, and relax.

If you haven't seen your OBGYN, you might want to schedule an appointment for some advice or alternatives.

Good Luck and Have fun!
