My hubby just got a new (better) job. His commute will more than double though :(

He has an old car with a tape player. We have an ipod nano that I was going to fill with his cds and buy an adaptor. There are kinds that you put the tape in and the ipod plays through your radio, and there are cable hook ups. Anyone use one of these or bought one of these that they love/hate?
thanks!

What can I do next?

I have a griffin one, from walmart, it plays through the radio - to be honest it does not work as well as the tape player one that i have, because the station will get static, then you can't hear your music.
Maybe he could just get some headphones for his ipod

Last year for Christmas I got an ipod adapter you plug into your cigarette lighter and it works through radio stations. Problem is when the station gets fuzzy, so does the ipod. If you live in a metro area with a station with a VERY strong signal it may work. I don't use mine, too frustrating, I'm back to cds. Eventually I'll take the car in and have an ipod dock installed professionally. :(

Both my sons use these. No matter what brand they buy, they have to be replaced every couple months!!!

I've used the one that you put in the tape player, and then it goes into the headphone jack on the ipod. I thought this worked great, much better than trying to do the radio ones with the static. I'm not even sure if you can buy these in the stores anymore, I've found them at garage sales and stuff like that. Good luck!
