What do you love and hate about your iphone? I'm due for an upgrade in October and I have never had an iphone just a droid, but I think they are pretty cool. I'm a huge apple fan. THe droid that I did have died after I did the update on it that they make you do. Sprint gave me a used loaner phone until I can have my upgrade. I ended up dropping it at the grocery store and the screen cracked. They want me to pay $100 to fix it (WITH insurance on it). I refuse to pay when I am so close to an upgrade. The phone still works just fine, even with the screen broken.
But how do you like the iphone?

What can I do next?

Love my iPhone. If you have little ones, like I do, be sure to get the lifeproof case for it. It's $80, but when my toddler chucks it to the floor in the grocery store, I don't have to panic about it breaking. And, yes, this has seriously happened. My phone is uninjured.

ETA: TF/Plano ... Get the lifeproof case. It's slimmer than the otterbox and still protects the phone when dropping onto concrete at 6+ feet, in water, sand, and snow. It's been developed to meet military equipment standards. Highly recommend and they have a great warranty and awesome customer service too. Waiting on their iPad3 case, so LO can play with iPad too.

I just upgraded from my droid to an iphone and I love it. I love it because we have everything apple the macbook pro, ipad, ipod touch etc so i thought if IW as going to have apps and pictures and music it might as well all be compatible and its soo easy. I love it. I have an otterbox to help protect it, the screen shouldnt shatter with the protective case.

We love our iProducts! Hubby & got iPhones 3 years ago (whatever the current edition was) and got our upgrades 1 year ago. Since our first purchase, we've also bought an iPad (family Christmas gift) and iPod touch ("family" gift that is mostly used by dd--who is 3.5)! We take turns sync-ing our gadgets and sharing music, videos, and apps! DD uses the iPod (and iPad) for her kid games & movies, hubby and I use our iPhones for EVERYTHING! We even go as far as to watch movies from our Netflix queue and shows that are recorded on our DVR (DishNetwork)!

To be honest, I think most "smartphones" have basically the same features, we just really love the iPhones and how we can share everything on all of our devices. Also, I don't have a case, just the GhostArmor (installed at a mall kiosk) and have had really good luck with it. I did break my back glass when my phone slipped out of my hand and fell *just right* on a rock. I expected to pay $30 to have it replaced at the Apple store, but the guy was super nice and did it for FREE!

So... there are pros & cons for every device... and we love our iProducts!

My husband had an iPhone a while back. We have Androids now. I can't speak for his reasons, but I know he likes the Android better.

I do know that he SHATTERED his iPhone screen. They are glass. The Androids we've had are made of Gorilla Glass. They don't shatter into a million pieces like regular glass!

ETA: Just do a Google Image search for "broken iphone screen". That is what my husband's looked like. We are not the only ones it has happened to! haha

Love my iPhone. I have the 4, and will be eligible to upgrade to the 5 in November. I'm a little puzzled by Sandy's husband's experience with the glass breaking. I'm hard on my phone (construction manager, so I'm on job sites all the time, etc) and have never had the screen crack. One of my kids managed to break the screen on her iPod touch (she ran her scooter over it - don't ask) and we took it to a place where they replaced it for $80 - you may try that until you can upgrade your phone.

Anyway, I love that everything on my phone works together (contacts, messaging, email, iCloud, etc), and everything syncs wirelessly with both of our computers (we have an iMac and MacBook Pro too ;). It's just really easy to use, intuitive, and I don't have to think about it. I remember when I had a Blackberry, often times things would happen with it where I'd have to go online, google, and try to figure out how to fix it, or go to the cell phone store and have them mess with it. That has never happened with my iPhone. It just works, seamlessly.

My husband has an iPhone 3 (he's been holding out for the iPhone 5 - he wants 4G :) and I think he's had it for 4 years now? He is in construction as well and uses that phone hard. It has held up like a champ. Two thumbs up from us for the iPhone.

The thing I really dislike about apple products is that they're upgrading every 2 months! I have the Iphone 4s and I'm getting the Iphone 5 (I think it already came out) But Im still getting it! Lol! (My family is always up-to-date with electronics! ) My daughter has an Iphone too, so as my fiancee. I heard that they're making an Iphone 6 pretty soon and its made out of complete GLASS. (but its indestructable) Nice you should google it. The thing I really like about the Iphone is the apps, and its like a tiny computer!

Both my teen sons have the Iphone 4S (has Siri). They both love them.

I'm NOT an Apple fan . . . have never had much luck with Itunes. For some reason we have had alot of trouble getting Itunes to sync with gadgets. We have lost music that we bought on Itunes.

I have a Nokia Lumia Windows phone that is wonderful. The only downside is it loses battery power quickly. It's like a mini-computer, and I don't have to convert all my MP3's. It also has voice prompting for texting (but Siri seems better at this imho). The screen is nice and big if you like to watch videos or Netflix. There are lots of apps for it too.

I had a Blackberry for years - mine finally died.

Good luck with your selection!

We've had the IPhones since they came out. Right now, daughter has the newest model, I have the 4g and hubby has the 3.

We love them. I especially like the fact that I can practically run my business and not have to carry my laptop around. I prefer NOT to carry my laptop around because it has all the data, Quickbooks, etc that I use for business and I can't afford for something to happen to that, although I have backup.

We are all on the same plan, unlimited data and texting and I pay about $250 a month for the 3 phones.

I strongly suggest the AppleCare warranty. It is only $75 or so and well worth it. We had daughter's phone replaced 2 times (dropped and broken and dropped and wet) and only had to pay the $200 vs retail and once her phone was replaced for free.

We would not use anything else right now. Enjoy.

ETA: daughter has had friends with IPhones and broken screens and they worked just fiine. Nothing is indestructable... we are rough on the IPhones and no issues. Daughter and I have a Speck case, hubby has no case. I have an OtterBox case but I don't like it... too bundlesome for me.
