What doctor or practice did you go to for infertility treatment? Any advise?

I went to Dr. Beltsos at Fertility Centers of Illinois. They have several different offices around Chicago. I had a great experience with them. I wish you all the best.
FCI-I saw Dr Beltsos and she was great. However, you don't really see your Dr that much and depending on the route that you end up taking you may not even get your Dr for different procedures. So, I would just choose that location that is closest to you.
Hello S., We used Karande & Associates, in Hoffman Estates (Alexian Brothers Medical Center) now InVia. They have several locations, but the main facility is in Hoffman. We were very blessed and had two healthy boys, 15 months apart. Every situation is different, but if you use donor eggs, select someone that has provided eggs at least one successful time.
My preference is Dr. Klipstein--she did both of the transfers for my boys. But you can look at their profiles on line, and make your own decision. It's a miracle!
In my personal experience, depending upon how far up the infertility chain you have to go, not all centers are the same....or all doctors for that matter. I first went to FCI in Buffalo Grove and then Glenview several years ago. Ugh....horrible!! The nurses would tell you about something about 2 weeks after you were supposed to do it. I eventually wrote them a letter and took a different route. Now that was 4-8 years ago and hopefully, things have changed.
After that experience, I started asking around and talking to various people and the Drs. at FCI in Highland Park kept coming up. Even though they are quite a drive from my house, I ended up going there and seeing Dr. Marut (who is a pioneer in IVF) and was successful....twice! Their nurses were quite experienced and professional.
Good luck to you!
I would second Charles Miller. He knows exactly what to do and he is excellent. I was 39 and had been told that my infertility was due to "genetics" by another fertility doctor in Skokie. He found that I had stage 3 endometriosis. Within four months of the operation which cleared the endo out of my system I was pregnant. I had no trouble becoming pregnant the second time, either, at the age of 41. He is excellent.
We went to FCI (Fertility Centers of Illinois) - the Hoffman Estates location. My doctor was Dr. Nani - however, everyone at that office and all of their other offices are wonderful. We have been blessed w/ 2 amazing children because of them. The nurses at the Hoffman Estates office truly love what they do and it shows. I would recommend them to anyone.... Also on a side note - please do not go to North Shore Fertility (they have an office in Skokie & Schaumburg). They truly do not care and don't take the time with their patients. Because of insurance we had to switch centers w/ our second procedure - which failed - so we went back to FCI and we're so upset we ever went to them. Good luck with everything....
I highly recommend Dr. Charles Miller in Schaumburg (also has a second office in Naperville). He travels the world over giving lectures on the most advanced techniques in infertility treatments. But that isn't the real reason why I reco him (though I did find that impressive) - the two main reasons are these: 1) on the 1st try of taking Clomid and doing artifcial insemination, we became pregnant and are now only 9 weeks away from our due date and 2) when I did my research last spring, I reviewed the reports the CDC publish yearly on all infertility clinics and their success rates of live births. He had the highest success rate of ANY clinic in the state of Illinois. To me, that statement says it all. Another nice thing was that he gives a discount to those whose insurance doesn't cover infertility - which was us. We only saw him for the initial appointment where he looked at all of our test results and asked us some follow up questions and then gave us choices of the different courses of action we could take, but from there his highly trained staff took care of us and obviously got the job done. His office is right by Woodfield - phone # ###-###-####. The NP at my OB recommended I either go to him or to FCI depending on my preference but after seeing his success rates were higher and reading reviews on him saying "if he can't get you pregnant, no one will" that is where we went. We didn't have time or money to waste. (I also learned that FCI doesn't schedule ultrasounds, you just go and wait - which wasn't going to work well for me since I still work part time). Best wishes to you and I so hope you are quickly blessed like we were!
I went to Dr. Marut in Highland Park (FCI, I think). Good luck!
Fertility Centers of IL - (FCI). They were great!
I also went to Dr. Charles Miller 10+ years ago. He is very results oriented and up front about your medical situation. One note of caution, he's not a touchy feely kind of guy. That was fine with me because I wanted his expertise. His staff was wonderful and supportive and very loyal to him. Best of luck to you.
