In Need of a From-scratch Hummus Recipe

Hi cooking moms -
I'm want to make some hummus from scratch - however, all the recipes I've found use canned beans. I'm using dried beans that I've soaked and cooked, and am unsure of the proportions of the other ingredients. Any good recipes out there? Thanks!

This is how I make mine. We all love it.
2 c cooked Garbanzo beans (drain and set juice aside)
1/4 c olive oil (or whatever oil you use)
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 garlic cloves (or 3, depending on your taste)
1/4 c raw sweet onion (if you onion is not sweet, use less or it will overpower your hummus)
1/4 c cilantro (stems and all)
1 tsp cumin, ground
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 c sunflower seeds (optional)-roasted, no salt
Process in food processor until smooth consistency, adding the additional juice until the hummus has the consistency you prefer.
Tweak amounts to your liking.

I love this recipe:

1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed (or 2 cups of fresh)
6 oz. jar of roasted red peppers, rinsed
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup tahini
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 jalapeno, seeded, diced
3 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves
1 teaspoon paprika

Put it all in a food blender & puree! yummmm

I just make mine to taste. I like it best with about 3 cups cooked garbanzo beans, juice from 1-2 lemons, salt to taste and cumin to taste (maybe 1-1/2 tbs). Allrecipes.com might be a good resource. 1 can of garbanzo beans is probably 1.5 cups beans, don't you think?

My husbands aunt makes hers from scratch, she just does it to taste, she does a cute little variety when she makes it - and she makes one that is garlic, one that is cilantro, and one that is sun-dried tomatoes. She said she just adds the garlic and a little salt/pepper to taste, and does the same with the cilantro one and sun-dried tomatoe one. Honestly, once you have had her hummus - you can never eat the store bought kind again..... she is a vegetarian, and makes the best veggie foods~~
