In a Lot of Pain

Ok, this can be very embarrassing, but I'm really hoping someone out there has an answer. I have been suffering from hemmoroids since the birth of my two sons. The oldest is about to turn 5 and my other son is 2. I have been to a proctologist who wasn't much help. I take magnesium citrate which helps to keep me regular, use suppositories, cream, etc... Nothing is working. They usually come and go, but for the last 3 months they have not gone away. At times I am in such extreme pain and can't find a comfortable position to relieve the pain. It keeps me awake at night. I dread having to go to the bathroom. Does anyone know of what I can do to relieve the pain/get rid of them?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks to everyone who advised. I am taking the vitamin B6 and amazingly it really does seem to take the hemmoroids away. I also went back to my OBGYN who told me I also have a fissure. This is the cause of most of the pain. She recommended another proctologist and things are looking up. Thank you!!!

I have been through on and off past 10 years. Had it few times when it was unbearable and would sit and cry for hours. And sometimes it would be there but i could manage it.
But after the birth of my twin girls in Dec, 2004 i just couldn't take it. Its the hardest thing that i had to go through. I had to take of the 2 babies with my husband without any other family support. I would also dread going to the bathroom. I used all kind of over the counter medicine and supp for the relief. Since i am from India i got lots of recommendation for Ayurvedic medicines. I tried bunch of them, but they did no good. So i finally visted Dr Bode, He was recommended to me by my obsterician. He immediately found out that i had a fisher. And after trying 2 months some of his fiber diet i decided to go for the surgery and immediately, i mean the very next day i was relived from the pain of going to the bathroom. So i would suggest going to this Dr or any other colon and Rectal Surgeon immediately and check out your options.

My suggestion would be to find a new proctologist. I would definitely recommend having them removed. I am a nurse and have dealt a lot with people getting rid of hemrrhoids. You just need to find the right doctor. If you tell them that you have so much trouble with them for this long and that they are causing you this much pain, I know they will agree that they need to be rid of.

Good luck, M.

I was blessed after the birth of my 2 boys not to have gotten them, however i know they can be very painful.
I would go see another dr. If the one you are seeing now isn't doing much for you then you need to find a new one.
If you have a dr. that you really trust I would ask them for a refferal.
hope you are feeling better soon.
