I was wondering if any of you have one of these or know much about them? I am especially curious about gas mileage and any quirks or things that you wouldn't know about it.

I really appreciate your hep! TIA

What can I do next?

I LOVE my odyssey. It is very roomy...

Gas mileage is OK...but IMO, cannot beat the seating and the storage.

It has now, with room to spare, gotten 4 kiddos off to college...and the next well go this fall...with room to spare!

I have a 2003 BTW...and it is til running great!

I have a 2008 touring. We bought it used two years ago. LOVE IT. We've had no problems.

I love all the room, and he truck storage, even with a third row, is great! I have three -yes three- strollers in it, and I still have room for groceries!

I have a 2007 CRV. It's a great car. Lots of room in the backseat (my daughter is 6ft). Good storage space. I know the older models have the tire mounted on the back hatch door, mine doesn't, but I would hate that feature. Good gas milage 24/25 mpg, I drive about 50/50 (city/hwy). I have about 62,000 miles on it. So far low maintainance costs. My only problem has been with tires, theres a sensor, and it's always going on, it's been a problem since the day I picked up the car (bought it new).

When making the decission, you really need to think about your lifestyle. There are been many times that I've need to use hubby's car (a minivan), because I needed to transport my 2 kids and some friends and didn't have enough seats. We do frequent day trips and need to take a cooler, picnic basket, chairs, extra clothing, it can be a tight fit in a CRV.

I had a 2008 CRV and it got @ 22 MPG city, 28 highway. I agree with NewName, Odysseys are great for bigger families or hauling a lot of stuff. I loved my CRV and hated to trade it in, but it couldn't fit 3 car seats across the back. I thought the 2008 CRV had plenty of room in the trunk area and never had a problem hauling a stroller and groceries. We were able to load up for long car trips no problem.

Only have had an Odyssey and loved it while the kids were little. Once they were about 10 it was "embarrassing". Loved it though, it was a workhorse, 250,000 miles and it was still superb!!

We have both.

My husband has a manual transmission CRV and has loved it. Great for a family of 4!

I have the Odyssey and have love/hate relationship with it. "hate" too many cup holders and no good place to store my cell phone - like I had in my Grand Caravan. Gas mileage is OKAY for around town - 14 to 17 depending upon how I drive and highway - 24 to 27.

I would not just test drive the car - but see how long the dealership will let you have it for the day - put your stuff in - are you using a stroller? Then put it in and see how it fits. Park it in your driveway - can you easily get in and out of it? How about your kids?

Mine are older now - 10 & 13 - so I love that I can fit their friends in the car with us as well.

Have FUN!!

I don't have those particular years, but I've owned both models. We had a CRV before we had two kids. The Odyssey is perfect if you have two or more kids. I don't know how we got by without it. Super for long car trips, hauling bikes, you name it. The seats are easy to move around and, knock on wood, it's been an easy car to own. The CRV was also a great car, but much smaller. It's a good option if you don't need to haul any bigger items. We do a lot of trips up to the mountains with summer or ski/sledding gear, so it would be too small for everything.

Both are really reliable. I don't recall our mileage with the CRV but I get about 20 mpg with the Odyssey.

I have a 2007 Honda CRV and I LOVE it. It gets around 23-24 mpg every day .. and anywhere between 28-32 highway.
