Well, I can't speak to having a toddler and being pregnant, but I can comment on being pregnant while in school. I am in doctoral school and was pregnant Aug-May. While, as you know, you don't feel great those first few months, I found school schedules more forgiving than work schedules as far as sleeping in or making your own schedule to get work done. Plus, I don't know what field you're in but I have had all summer home with my little one which is nice. I think that would be less stressful for you than waiting to find a new job, then soon after taking maternity leave. The timing is really tricky, especially for a working mom. I'm still contemplating what would be a "good" time for my second. Is there one????

First, whoever said two were just as easy as one...........WRONG! My kids are 20 months apart and I am a stay at home mom now. I had alot of "quality" time with my daughter (1st child) but once I had #2, everything changed. I was very tired during my second pregnancy because you don't get to rest with a toddler running around. I too worked until a week and half before I delivered my first, but the second time around no way! Good Luck and whatever happens, remember we always seem to make it work when it comes to our children!

I have 4 children! They are all pretty close together! I just remember getting tired more easier after running around after my first, second, and third! If you're unsure about the idea of another one now you could always wait until you graduate and then try to get pregnant when there's not much going on! Try to remember what you went through with the first one! It definetely will not be exactly the same but if you were sick alot, etc. there's a possibility you'll be like that again!
I wish you luck!!!!!

Hi, K.. I just wanted to let you know the differences in my pregnancies. With my first baby, all went well. I didn't have any problems at all and worked on Friday and went into labor with him the next day. However, with my second one, I started into pre-term labor when I was around 26 weeks and was on strict bedrest for the remainder of the pregnancy...so they are all different. You just never know. I wish you luck whatever you decide. :)

Hi Kellly,

Just rem ember that, just like no 2 kids are alike, no 2 pregnancies are alike either. Mine are 18 months apart and the pregnancies were very different. And it is much harder to rest with the 2nd one because the 1st one always seems to need you just when you thought you would have a few quiet minutes. I'm sure you'll be able to handle it. You're young and I'm sure it will be fine!

Good luck!
