I'm Pregnant, What Drugs Are Safe for Me?

Hi everyone. I just found out I'm pregnant and my OBGYN appointment is not until 2 weeks from now. I have some prescription drugs that I take and I don't want to just stop taking them. Someone told me that there was a website that posts drugs and the FDA's approval of them during pregnancy. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

What can I do next?

Call your OBGYN office, tell them what you're on, and if you can continue to take it?

hey sweetie! your best bet is to CALL YOUR PHARMACIST. they will know exactly what you can and cannot take while pregnant or breastfeeding. they have huge reference books for every drug sold, even if they dont carry it, and that let you know the warnings of taking certain drugs while preggers. so give them all call, and i hope everything works out! congrats on the pregnancy!

I'm not sure about a website, but you should be able to call either your primary care physician or your OB and speak with a nurse. Most likely they'll take the list and call you back with what you should take or not take. Especially with OBs the phone is great between appts and they (if they're good) are used to phone calls!! Best of luck and congrats!!

This is the website I used while pg

I'd also recommend calling and talking to someone at your doc office. Usually they can get you in or let you know if there's a problem.
