J.K.
That sounds like a nice idea, especially if they had some extra special activities that year that were memory makers.
Would you like a photobook of the class? It would mostly be action shots from a school activity. This will be extra over the end of the school year present.
Just ordered it. It will be an 8x8 soft cover and won't take up much space at all. One kid was ill and was not at school that day but I was able to find a photo of her. =). I left a couple of pages in the back for the kiddies to sign their names. The book came out really cute. I wish it can be shared but Shutterfly does not have a share button for the books bummer.

I am a teacher and I would love it.
D.,
My Mother is a retired teacher and a parent gave her pictures of a class trip to the zoo. She loves those pictures. There are pictures at the zoo and also pictures of my Mother and the kids in the classroom. I think the photobook will be charished.
I'm sure it would be cherished. Just make sure there are shots of EVERYone. There will always be a disgruntled mom that will say their kid didnt get as much attention as another.... so be careful there.
Last year my son's kindergarten teacher did a DVD of the class. It was so much fun to see that. It was just pictures taken throughout the year and music to go with it. She also included some videos of little plays they had done.
I was a teacher before I had four kids running around at home! I still have the photo book a parent made for me one year. My kids really enjoy looking at a young me and all my students. Brings back a lot of good memories for me too! So your effort won't be wasted!
I would love that! Great idea!
Absolutely! sweet gesture :-)
Yes! Photo books are amazing presents!
Yes. Although a DVD is a nice alternative - doesn't take up a lot of space.
I'm all for preserving memories. I'd have someone take a class picture and have identifications with it somehow.
How absolutely wonderful. I'm sure the teacher will love it. I noticed your comment about Shutterfly not having a button for sharing. After I made a book I received an email showing me that I could share it. I'd just like to caution you that it would be helpful to check with the teacher first. Some families/guardians have court orders disallowing the sharing of their child's photos for very good and private reasons. So just check with the teacher first, if you are thinking of sharing beyond her/him. Again, this is a lovely idea and you are a very thoughtful parent.
