I have yet to take my daughter to the dentist. I was wondering how much it cost to take your child for a check up. I just don't want to be blind sided with a huge bill.
Thank you! C.

Check first to make sure that you have a family plan with Tricare Concordia. This info on the LES.

Secondly, like everyone else has mentioned, if you go to a participating dentist or orthodontist, Concordia picks up the whole bill for a cleaning and fluoride treatment every 6 months. X-rays are only paid for once a year. Your out-of-pocket expenses for other dental work vary greatly, and a great dentist will explain this to you before the work is done.

Its the same then it is for you. You can take her every 6 month and a regular check up is free. If they find something, then you have to pay that but everything else that belongs to a check up is free.

If you use a preferred provider then it shouldn't cost you a thing for a checkup. You can get a list from them. If you are in the Tidewater area, my kids go to Dr. Barney and he is excellent and also does Orthodonics and is a preferred provider with United Concordia.
