K.G.
Washington State or Oragon, Its so beautiful there but out in the country/forest area. LOTS of land would be great also. And I would love to be off the grid using solar, wind, and water for power and heat.
Moms,
If you could live anywhere in the US where would it be and why?
Washington State or Oragon, Its so beautiful there but out in the country/forest area. LOTS of land would be great also. And I would love to be off the grid using solar, wind, and water for power and heat.
North Shore of Kauai -Hanalei area in Hawaii. It's heaven on Earth and just a place I love to go again and again. I would be happy there forever.
I'd stay here in the Portland, OR area; maybe buy a house with a larger lot. Or move out to the country close by... I'd love five acres and some quiet!
I'd stay in the PNW ~ b/c I love having all 4 seasons, great shopping not too far away, mountains to ski, snowmobile and hike, lakes to ski and fish, beaches...I could go on and on and on :)
Well I'm a lucky gal cuz I live in Northern CA in wine country and it's beautiful! I wouldn't live anywhere else. But for S & G's I'll play along...I'd give my eye teeth to live in Kauai like another poster. I love it there. But I wonder if I'd get island fever... I sure would like the chance to find out!
I'm told where I need to live is New Jersey, or Pensylvania.
Reasons being:
W/in 2 hours for snowboarding
W/in 2 hours for surfing
Regular commuter lines via trains from Villages/towns to big city
Hot Summers
Cold winters
Blue sky
No alligators
Normal/Low cost of living
I may end up in Boston Area (so much for cost of living, it's almost as bad there as here) because Mass has a college on every corner, practically. Well see. Need my BS before I can worry about my MS.
I may end up in the UK. EnZedd has all I'm looking for, but knowing my luck it will be London. London has the same weather as Seattle :P, but GREAT train system, and a gazillion and one things to do.
Currently, Im still stuck in Seattle (custody, I'm not going anywhere my son can't live with me). Really, I only came to visit family for 2 weeks (13 years ago).
NC hands down!!!!!!
It's beautiful, it gets cold but not too cold, the area that I love (outside of Charlotte) is very family oriented, not stuck up and not country... You can have the mountains and the beach :)
I live in Plano/Allen now and I would not change a thing.
I LOVE being so close to 2 airports, having the opportunity to be on either coast within 2 hrs which is a very reasonable time.
I love the weather, I HATE ice and cold.
We've been here since 1989 and we've seen nothing but improvements. We've had the opportunity to move and we have gone house shopping in other cities and we have always come back to our original decision... TX is for us.
We enjoy the opportunities of our airports which are located well for either coast... It is a fit for all tastes here.
Oregon, I think. I thought it was just beautiful.
Exactly where I am!! Sure, it's expensive but I can get to everything I could possibly want to do in a reasonable amount of time. Love it!
I'm sticking with right here! Well..within San Diego greater area at least.
I like California.
It's a state that has EVERYTHING in reasonable driving distance.
I'd like to live southern coastal if I had my druthers.
If any of you know anyone that needs a great apartment manager for a small apartment complex on the beach LET ME KNOW!
hmmm...maybe Hawaii...I live in colorado and I prefer tropical weather, and California does not interest me and Florida seems to get a lot of hurrincanes although I do love Florida too.
Somewhere along the west coast. Close to the beach (if not ON the beach) and close to the mountains too (grass and trees, what's that?). And reasonable weather (unlike here where it will be HELL HOT this summer!). =)
Northern California. I have the perfect scene in my head....I have never been to it.......But some day I want to buy some land and build a home.......It will be close enough to smell the ocean.......and walk to it.....but not totally on the beach.
Will I ever get there in reality.....who knows.....But it sure is a pretty place to be when I need to get away from here for a bit.......:)
Exactly where I am. With a view of a beautiful urban lake, and everything I need in short distance. Four seasons to keep life interesting. Many career opportunities and friends and family. You won't budge me out of Minnesota.
Colorado, no question about it! Although, Minnesota wasn't looking too shabby today! My husband and I kayaked all afternoon with some friends down a lovely river and I realized that, despite the nasty winters, we really do live in a lovely area!
I don't know which state/town/city etc but somewhere with great views, four seasons, no tornadoes, hurricanes, or earthquakes. Low crime, diverse and family friendly.
I would live somewhere beautiful and cold, with mountains - maybe Alaska. I have several friends in Fairbanks. Colorado might be nice, too.
I hate with a passion where I live now, so a hole in the ground away from here sounds really nice.
I actually would stay where I am. I enjoy living in New Jersey, although America thinks there's a bunch weirdos living here. I live in Northern NJ, in a suburb of NYC. Everything is here. Airports, great public transit, a bunch of stuff to do, and a LOT and I mean a lot of diversity. I lived in other places and that was something I missed the most. Another great thing about living here is that your shock value is nil to none. Riding the train with a half-drunk, passed out Elvis on your way to work is normal and somewhat expected.
As long as I'm near an ocean I'm happy enough!
My vote is Hawaii or Texas. Put me on a beach somewhere and I could live forever happy! :)
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!
I love my hometown, Seattle! Other than that I could probably stand to live in Austin TX, charleston SC, Hawaii, San Francisco, Portland, San Diego, Scottsdale or Phoenix AZ, new york NY, Boise or coeur d'Alene ID. Everywhere else is too rural, cold, hot, or full of hurricanes and tornadoes which scare the bejesus out of me!
Honestly, right where I am! I love it here.
Sourhern California beach house. I love the weather, love the beach, love love love it.
Tired of having to run my heat on occasion (yes in May) in Wisconsin. The snow would be up in the mountains and not under my feet.
