Our friends got married in late October in Napa, so the weather was similar (I'm guessing) to what you'll be dealing with. I found a floor-length gown that was fitted on the top half and had spaghetti straps, and then had some ruching around the tummy/hips, then flared out. It had some kind of stretchy fabric underneath and then had a sheer fabric as the outer layer and it was very flattering. I wore a wrap with it for the outdoor portion of the wedding. I think the easiest thing to do is call Nordstrom and tell your personal shopper there what you're looking for, and then go in and try everything on when your DH can watch your kids. I hate trying to find stuff to wear to weddings - those ladies at Nordstrom have saved me many times! Also, tell your shopper what your shoe size is, and if the wedding will be outdoors or indoors, and have her pull a bunch of shoes for you as well. Remember for an outdoor wedding, you won't want to wear stilettos because they'll sink into the grass. Wedge heels or flats will be better for outdoors. Good luck!
