For the cake... one way you could do it is to arrange a bunch of cupcakes in the shape of the chicken, and then frost over all of them as if it was a solid cake. Then when it comes time to serve the cake, the cupcakes can just be pulled apart. this does take a LOT of frosting, though... Buttercream would work best.

As far as activities, don't forget the chicken dance! You could do a scavenger hunt with all of the clues hidden inside plastic easter eggs. Say that the rubber chicken has stolen the birthday cake, presents, or something, but has laid a trail of eggs with clues inside for the kids to follow. You could also do "Duck, duck, CHICKEN!" instead of Duck, Duck GOOSE, but when the chicken is chosen, it has to run around the circle flapping arms and screaming, "BOCK, BOCK, BOCK..."

No ideas on the cake - you could make jello shaped eggs, I think that Jell-O brand makes a mold (perhaps only found around easter). SOunds cute!!!

This sounds like a lot of fun! My only advice on the cake is to go to your local bakery and put them to the task!

Good luck!

That is something that would have to be icing painted on top of a sheet cake. A diagonal long chicken in yellow with orange beak, feet and comb, then a big white eyeball, maybe a marshmellow, and a spot of black on it, or an X. You would have room to write under the neck of the chicken on the white background.

I don't know what a rubber chicken party is but it sounds like fun.

Could you make a cake shaped like the chicken's body, then cut and attach a rubber chicken head and neck to it, perhaps have the rubber chicken feet poked into the other end? Or you could have a cake shaped like a vehicle with part of the chicken sticking out of one side like it got run over.

I'd love to hear more about your other ideas!
