Ideal Length of Stay for Beach Resort Girls' Vacay?

My girlfriends and I are sharing our 40th b-days by going on a vacation to Cabo! We plan on mostly being resort rats who indulge in food, sun, and booze. Nothing much planned beyond that yet. In looking for flights and tallying up expenses, I can't decide if I should go for a Friday-Wednesday or a Saturday-Wednesday stay. The first and last days are mostly eaten up by travel. It would leave either four full days of vacay, or three full days...I know three days sound short, but won't I get bored after four days? (I can't afford anything beyond the four full day option, so a longer stay isn't even on my radar.) I've never been down there, and I've never been to a resort...total newby here!

What can I do next?

if you can afford the longer one - that's my vote! you know when you'll get back, monotonous life will resume as usual, bills, groceries, cleaning, laundry, WORK, all that stuff....stay as long as possible w/food, sun, and booze...btw...can i come??!!! :)

have an AWESOME time mama! :)

I agree with Marda. I've often been to resorts, and have never gotten bored. Go for the longer stay, and have a fabulous time! Happy Birthday!

I've traveled often. There is very little difference between 3 or 4 days. I always option for the longer stay because I've never been bored and always wish I could stay longer. One reason I don't get bored is that the first day is spent just getting used to being there and finding out how to do things. Then you have 2 days to use that knowledge and discover some more activities. Three days is just too short.

Longer!! Just when you are ready to actually relax, you are anticipating leaving...then the anxiety kicks in and thoughts about home, unpacking, laundry, etc... This may just be my obnoxious thoughts, but I feel the longer you can stay, the more relaxed you will be! In my mind, being able to actually relax and enjoy a vacation, is a beautiful gift!
Safe travels!!

Friday to Weds. You'll get two cool days of fewer tourists and lots of time to explore other places to eat . Enjoy your time out as faux singles.
