Okay so my question is this how the hell do i get my body back. I have lost weight but want to loose the last few lbs. How can I? I am a very picky eater and as unfortuate that it is i do not like healthy foods very much. i dont like veggies. i like meats and pasta. i do not eat a lot though. i use to be so small and now i just dont feel good about myself. I hate it. my other issues is that i have some bad stretch marks. how can i get them to fade or something. and how can i tone my body back alittle. i need the quickest easiest methods since i have two young children. i walk with them alot. so any ideas are great if someone can help out. im willing to try anything at this point to make myself feel better. i want to be able to get married and feel wonderful walking down the isle. i am only about 140lbs give or take a lb or so. but i use to be 120 and had abs. ahhhhh

I'm a picky eater too, and I gained as a teen on milk shakes. That's why I love this plan. The Meal Replacement Shakes taste just like milk shakes to me. Go take a peek. This is easy and healthy. If it appeals to you email me. I'll coach you, and I KNOW you will feel like a million dollars on this plan.

Pregnancy and childbirth are hugely traumatic on our bodies. Mine is completely different despite being the same weight as before.

There are a few fortunate moms who bounce back into shape like nothing happened. We have 1 neighbor who has 3 kids and is lucky to weigh 110 or less. She never works out, eats horribly. Just blessed with a good metabolism. Another friend has had 5 kids, and you can barely tell. She's probably 105 lbs.

Then there are the rest of us whose hips are a little wider, whose abs are a lot less toned. Even training for a 1/2 marathon the past 6 months, I've only lost 7 lbs.

But, it's relative. As much as I want my body back, it went to hell and back, literally after the birth of my second child. I was SO proud that 2.5 weeks after having her, I could fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes. It took 10 weeks with my son. Then, I was diagnosed with cancer and went through 5 months of chemo. Most of the drugs in my regimen are highly caustic and are known to cause long term heart/lung damage. So, I'm just happy to have a body and have gotten better about accepting it.

If you're really struggling and can afford it, the 2 best things you can invest your money in are:
1. Personal Trainer to help you tone - especially trouble areas
2. Registered Dietician (insurance will likely pay for it) - to help you understand how many calories you personally need each day and how to integrate the foods you're not so fond of into your diet.

Good luck

I just want to say I feel your pain! I have lose all but the last five pounds of baby weight but I still have jiggle! I also used to have abs and now I just look pregnant still. I have heard good things from the Mederma stretch mark therapy but I know it's expensive. I'll be interested to hear the advice!

After 4 kids - I don't know how to get back to the "old self"... I was 128# when I got prego w/ my first about 16 yrs ago & spent over 12 yrs at about 210#. Last summer I got laid-off and made my way down to 173# before I found out I was expecting #5. The only thing I did was walk with the family in the local metro parks, cut out fast food, eat more healthy (balanced meals - meat, starch, veg/fruit & milk) & not as much, and tend to the house & family.

I have no clue how to say good-bye to the stretch marks... they are just "battle scars" that come with having kids. I just look at them as something that happened to get what I wanted - my little ones & I wouldn't give my little ones to get rid of them... so they are just something I deal with.

I wish you luck in finding a way of feeling better about yourself... personnaly, I put so much time into my family - that I don't pay much attention to myself anymore. But that's just me.

There's nothing wrong with meats but dodge the pastas. If you do indulge, get whole grain and add veggies to the sauces. Nutrition is EVERYTHING when it comes to your body looking like it should. You have been extremely lucky having a body you liked if you didn't eat healthy foods....I'm afraid it's caught up with you.... :)

My husband lost all his weight (110 pounds) when I put him on an absorbable multivitamin. His body was not absorbing nutrition, even though he was eating it, so I had to jumpstart the process. He has kept it off for 5 years and is fit now. My sister in law dropped 15 pounds and my husband's best friend lost 50. All of them had their weight balance to where it was supposed to be because they were getting the nutrition that their bodies required. Your body is like any kind of machine. Without the proper fuel it won't run.

Use a loofa on your stretch marks and also some high grade tea tree oil. It will take a while but they will fade. I've never tried Mederma but stretch marks are simply tears in the skin like scars. It might work.

You can have abs at 140 pounds. Some crunches in the AM and some in the PM. Don't overdo but be consistent and they'll come back. Muscles have memory. The abs are there they just have to be encouraged to come back out!

God bless,

M.

I've been recording exercise programs from the fitness channel. I've got an exercise ball, inline skates & a jumprope. Now if I'd just use them!! I was swimsuit shopping this week & I settled for one that looks good from the front, if I stand a certain way...& it's my first one-piece EVER. I'm sorry for those who are going to have to see the back of my thighs at the pool. When is your wedding? My thoughts also are if you had abs you were pretty athletic and therefore will bounce back more easily. Muscles have memory.

Pilates! I can't say enough good things about how Pilates helped me get my abs back. There are a lot of varieties, but you can start at home with a DVD. I like the "traditional" ones, no frills, just good exercises. One I have is "Classical Pilates Technique: the complete mat workout". All you need is your TV and a mat for the floor. I went to a class, because having someone else push me worked best for me.
