I wish family workplaces and schools allowed an "I miss my kid day".

Today is that day for M.. maybe because collin walked her to the bus stop instead of M.? i still got to kiss her and walk her to the door?
maybe because she decided collin was going to brush her hair from now on and not M.?? by the way I am vetoing this decision...her hair is crazy today=)
maybe because tonight is the weeknight she sleeps at her dads and i will only get from 5-6:30 with her tonight
maybe J. because it's that time of the month and i get bummed a little easier

but whatever the reason today is an I MISS MY KID DAY!

i feel like telling my boss there is an emergency at emmy's school and telling the school there is an emergency at home and going and scooping her up out of her 1st grade class and taking her to somewhere fun....maybe to get her nails done or J. home to cuddle and read books...
hmmm
i wish there were excused i miss my kid days=)

anyone else have one of these lately?

What can I do next?

I actually have been known to take my kids out of school for mental health days. Hey! some of us actually enjoy them. :)

The boys seemed to outgrow this once playgrounds were no longer fun with mom. The girls like the mall so, yeah Christine stopped when she went away to college and Genna has been jonesing for a day all year. :p

The problem is when you work and the boss won't let ya go....

I miss my son when he is in school. It's J. M. in an empty house. TIck-tock.
Your idea sounds fun...too bad my son likes school. He complains when I have to pull him out of class for a doctor visit.

It will all work itself out, take a bit of time for yourself later and pamper you, then plan a special Mommy day where you bake cookies with her(decorating pre-made sugar cookies is fun!).

Hugs to you Mama!

I dread the day when I will have to do this. My son is 9 months old and because of that I have sole physical custody over him right now. As it is when I come home from work I don’t feel like I’ve spent enough quality time with him. I don’t like to think of how it will be once he grows up more and his dad will want more custody over him. I don’t like to be apart from him, I love every aspect of being a mom; his mom anyway.

On days like this, I wear a necklace that my kid made M. from beads and noodles to work and brag about it to anyone who notices.

Saturday is J. around the corner. You can make it! I've been feeling that way, especially since I'm packing up to move and always busy and feel like I haven't been spending "quality" time with the boys the last few days. SO last night we got Outback Steakhouse "to go", spread a blanket on the coffee table, ate a yummy dinner and watched Brave. When dinner was over, we cuddled and watched our movie. Looking forward to the weekend, and the extra days for Thanksgiving holidays though!
