That's really sad, J.! I don't have any advice for you.... I polished off a half a pan of brownies today, sooooo....yeah, I've got nothing.
It's depressingly cold in MN. I've been housebound with my kiddos (5, 4 and 2) with various illnesses... my husband (bless him) has been pretty busy at work and I've got cabin fever... I make up being stuck at home (and bored) with cooking and baking...
Today I think I hit a new low when I converted my Special K into crispy bars...
Someone give me the secret to what motivates them in the worst of winter to keep their wits about them and stay on track for eating healthy! I'd love to lose my last 8 pounds of post baby weight but at this rate I'll be gaining!
I do make 99 percent of what we eat from scratch, with healthy ingredients... but this time of year I slip a bit and buy some junk foods (chips, ice cream)... and marshmallows apparently :)
Give me your tips ladies!

I make Special K treats all the time! It includes peanut butter so it's much better to me than a regular crispy treat :)
Don't shop when you are hungry, if it isn't in the house, you can't eat it ;)
Also, you have to allow for some special treats, otherwise you will go stir crazy and binge one day on every sweet in a one mile radius of your house! Just remember to portion control what you eat, then send me the rest.
I made fudge the other day. I think most of us like to bake goodies when it is crappy out :)
I actually mix Special K with my vanilla yogurt cause it almost tastes like a rice crispie treat! Try it, it's yummy.
I grab anything I can when I am stuck inside. Gosh I hate winter!!!! I try really really really hard not to buy junk food and bring it into the house. Once and a while a candy bar is a good treat, but not the whole box in the pantry. Don't stock up on the junk...but then again, its winter and we all get cabin fever, so go with what you got (special K, crispies...can they really be that bad???)
I purchased a lot of board games this winter and we play those alot...keeps my mind off the kitchen and what lerks behind the pantry door. My kids are 5 and 3, their game aren't that riviting, but hearing them laugh is exciting!
