In response to the massive uproar over woman's right to use birth control and all of this jazz that has happened in the past few weeks....I started saying ''watch the next thing to be put on the chopping block would be vasectomies, and Tubal's would be deemed Child Abandonment''.......Seems I was not too far off.....

What say you to the Democrats responding back this was?? Do you think women should be able to attack ''THE MAN'S RIGHT TO CHOOSE''........

I am typing this light heartily.......but in a dumb founded manner.....All I can do is chuckle......But seriously??

What can I do next?

Multi-sourcing....I have it in two articles now....these are just two...both Credible sources of info IMO....but I do read a Wide range of Media and news material...

I did go back and try and find it on the national FOX NEWS network......But of course it was not on there......Maybe because it would make them look bad?? Who knows.

Thank You...I do not link things often so I did not even think about that:)

Jubee.................HAhahahahahahahahhahahaahahaha bahahahahahahahahahahahaha I LOVE IT!

What is funny about elected officials using their position and tax payer money to "make a point"?

ETA: Pretty bad press for Democrats IMHO. Thanks! :)

Apples and oranges. Vasectomies prevent children from being conceived and it should not be compared to abortions where the child HAS been concieved. It should be part of the paying for contraception type arguments instead.

You know what they say: if men could get pregnant, there would be birth control in our drinking water!

All kidding aside, it's nauseating that politicians of any stripe would attempt to substitute their religious rules for my (or my husband's, in his case) good judgment in determining if and when we reproduce. ALL methods of birth control should remain accessible to anyone who wants them, period. (Exclamation point! ;)

I wish Americans would grow up and join the rest of the developed world in matters of family planning and stop embarrassing ourselves with the fighting over it already, ESPECIALLY as our NUMBER ONE CONCERN IN ELECTING PRESIDENTS UGH ALREADY STOP IT!!!!--but this was a dumb ploy. It's so not even the same at all since no fetus is involved (and I'm pro choice by the way, but hello, fertilized eggs are in women's bodies, not men's, so that's why it's always women's rights on the chopping block). Lots of pro-lifers are anti birth-control, so they don't even want women to prevent their eggs from dropping with pills, so of course they wouldn't stop the almighty male from letting his seed fly all around either.
*****added, OK, SuzieQ, you're right they don't want people preventing fertilized eggs from "implanting" with pills, because they're that much up in other people's uteruses with their own religious beliefs. But even people who do take pills may still very well eat steak and hate plants, just like many pro-lifers love starting wars and killing inmates. It takes all kinds.

Birth control and now Vasectomies...well if the bill pass I guess very soon it will be a law for how many kids a couple can have in US too.
Because is well know that besides abstinence is really not 100% sure BC, and cutting those 2 = lots of more babies or couples stopping having sex...I doubt the second one will happen.
Thanks for sharing, I haven't hear about that one yet.
It is sad when I get my news from Mamapedia, lol.

Seriously.... they waste their time and our tax dollars with this when there are so many more important things to deal with. Maddening. Our country is run by self-serving idiots on both sides.

The big birth control debate isn't a debate about contraception -- it's a Constitutional issue involving separation of church and state. Nobody seems to get that.

Abortions and vasectomies can't really even be compared, in my opinion. I would think vasectomies would be put into the contraception debate. (someone remind me WHY there is a debate over that)

This whole debate (BOTH sides) just goes to show the very bad place our government is in. How stupid!!

Oh the fear mongering from the left is at it again.

Why can't people understand that NO ONE is trying to take away a womans choice on birth control and now on vasectomies.

It's solely about the Constitution and Separation of Church and State. Get over it already. Please turn off Communist News Network (CNN), Puffington Host, Media 'doesn't Matter and anything else that is soooo ridiculous. These comedy shows have put such a spin on this whole thing, they got you all dizzy and in a tizzy.

No one is trying to be in anyone's uterus or little willy either.

I get what they were trying to do... but it wasn't very bright, if you ask me. Ummmm.... vasectomy is not even close to contraceptives. An equivalent "service" or "procedure" would be a tubal ligation or perhaps a hysterectomy.

In my opinion, the bill is just dumb. A complete waste of time that WE (the taxpayers) are paying for them to be there and accomplish actual stuff, not make "statements"....

It shines a great big spotlight on how ridiculous the bill on birth control is/was, exactly what it was meant to do. A big row of men deciding what to do with women's health issues. Many women take birth control pills for reasons not having anything to do with birth control.

Yes, it's a matter of separation of church and state. Keep your church out of my uterus. Thanks bunches.

This is classic. I totally agree with SfromTX - a classic example of our tax dollars being wasted. This is taking place right here in my state. Yasine is making a point at the tax payers expense.

BRILLIANT!!!!!

On a serious note, I am pro choice, but I do tend to agree with the ban on late term abortions, if there is no medical need or case of serious birth defects.
I won't get into that, since it's not part of the question.

But, I LOVE THIS! It's about time that someone else made note of the fact that babies don't just pop into a womb on their own, and that it's not 100% on the woman to make sure that doesn't happen.
Good for them!

In my opinion we are on a slippery slope. Why is congress even discussing these issues? It frustrates me.

This country is going nuts and before you know it, all of our liberties will be at stake. We need to wake up and remind the congressman and all the powers to be who they are working for. Time to fire them all and start all over if you ask me. Our rights are slipping away one by one and before you know it, they will be all gone.

Here's my feeling on BC. I feel that birth control in all of its forms is a necessity. If we have no one worrying about birth control and women are having more babies, with the advances in science that leads to longer life spans, we will eventually end up like China - way too many people and no where to put them.

Yes, I think birth control is necessary and I support it in all of its forms.

It really all comes down to judging other people. I see comments on here saying, "I did X, my husband did X" and that apparently means that is the right way for everyone. Everyone should have freedom to define what life, religion, ethics mean to them. Do not try to control others. It's pointless. Just because you have a belief doesn't mean anyone else has to agree with you. The fact that the government is spending so much time debating reproductive rights and other church and state issues is appalling and a waste of time. Why can't the spend as much energy on the children that are alive and well in our education system? That is something the government should be controlling and quite frankly they don't seem to be doing a very good job at it. How about we start there when we talk about helping children live.
