I Just Took a Pregnancy Test...

I'll tell you my experience with that. I took a pregnancy test (I don't remember which brand now) and that same thing happened to me. One line was non-pregnant, a "cross" was pregnant. One line was apparent, the other line was almost non-visible. I waited a week before taking another test and I tested positive for being pregnant. Good luck!

any amount of the pregnancy hormone detected means that you are pregnant. Mine were very light too, even at the drs. office, but I am holding my 2 week old baby right now :-)

if you can see a line chances are you're pregnant. the darker the line the farther along usually. HOWEVER, I'd go out and buy another (better) one just to double check, or schedule a drs apt, whichever is easier.
I think you're pregnant though. I've had one show a faint line before and then in a week or two when i took the same test showed a dark line. (and i was prego of course). heh

Same thing happened to me, TWICE.. I was pregnant. Confirmed with the doc, of course. But this has usually been the case in my experience & from what I've seen with friends (4 have been preg in the last year). Good Luck!!

Both times I've been pregnant, the second line was VERY light too. The doctor said that meant the pregnancy hormones just weren't as strong yet because it was very early in the pregnancy. Good Luck!!!

The good news is it sounds like you are pregnant! I have had this to me before and in general no matter how faint the second line is, if it is there it is positive. There are false negatives, but rarely false positives. If you decide to take another test, take it in the morning with your first morning's urine. It is the stongest and should give you a positive result. Let me know!

I did the same exact thing the first time I was pregnant
&concluded that if I wasn't pregnant there wouldn't be anything showing up in the 2nd spot for the pregnant line so I figured I was. But... I did go and get the digital idiot proof kind and it came back super quick with Pregnant written out so I couldn't mistake it. :)

i'm also a mom to a 16 month old.... and i also think i might be pregnant. i kind of had the same thing happen with some free tests that were given to me by a friend. i haven't gone to go buy a better test yet but i'm thinking .... maybe i could be....? however, i don't feel pregnant at all and don't have any early signs like i had with my son. SO... anyway i was just writing to say good luck and congrats if you are!! And if we both are, then that's neat because we have the same aged kids~

My pregnancy tests had really faint second lines as well. A line is a line- it means you're probably pregnant! Mine were faint, and I am definitely pregnant! Congrats! Hope this helps!

That happened to me during my first pregnancy. The line was very faint, but still there. It could be due to your urine levels... you know the best time to take the test is first thing in the morning because too much liqued could cause the results to be offset. Anyways, I would say that if you don't want to waste more money on a test, that you're probably pregnant even with this faint line. Give it a few days, or even now, call your drs office and make your first appt.

I'm currently 22+ weeks pregnant with my second child, a girl. When I took the test, I didn't believe I was pregnant so I glanced at it and told my husband no. He made me check again, so half a second later I got it and looked really close...and there was a second faint line. So, I would go and have it confirmed with a Dr, because it's highly likely you're preggo!! If it was planned, YAY!! If not, YAY anyway!!

My 2nd line was so faint you really had to be looking for it, but the general rule is any indication of a line is usually a positive reading, it picked up the pregnancy hormone in your body light line or dark, it is there. Sometimes if you are "just pregnant" the line will be really light.

Sounds like you may be pregnant...try in another week and I bet it will be darker!! Congrats!!

That's exactly what happened to me when I was pregnant with my daughter. If the second line shows up at all, that usually means you're pregnant! You can always take a second test in a couple of days but, chances are, you are pregnant. If so, congratulations!! Let us all know when you find out for sure! :)

Hi, this has happened to me. Take another test preferably the digital kind. If you missed a period then take another one right away, if your period is not due for another day or two wait a few days. GL!

I had that happen with my first daughter and thought I was just seeing things,turns out I was pregnant,you should probably go to the doctors for an actual test or wait a few days to take a new one.
